Well Kyel tried to get this going once, this time I want to give it a shot.

A local place of mine can get a vinyl sticker made of this:
user posted image
So we can put it in our windows and represent the site. If anyone is down for this let me know so I can go through with it. It's about 5 bucks a sticker + shipping. You could get it made yourself if you can find a cheaper place but this is pretty much the going rate. If you want one let me know. I want to get a few definates before I go through with this. By default it's going to be white but if you want another color let me know.

Note: This is not a for sure thing yet, just gauging interest. Specify number and color too
I AM looking for cheaper places, or if anyone else wants to do it for cheaper that'd be cool just let me know.

1. Akimbo - white (2)

Yeah, Coomer, is the size of that gif the same size as your sticker? If so, then yes that will be the size. Unless the majority wants it bigger/smaller.

Well, we just imported that image into my friend's sticker cutting program at his shop, then resized it around and stuff so that we'd get those dimensions. wink.gif

Are you saying that the text itself will be that color or the background? If it has a transparent background and we selected text color (what I'm thinking this is), that'd be cool.

Like I said above, we resized it at my friend's shop on his software to get the size I wanted. When imported directly, the sticker would've been three feet wide or so. As cool as that would've been, I didn't feel the need to have a three foot wide sticker on the car. tongue.gif

It probably is easiest to get them made in your area if there's a shop that will make custom vinyl stickers. wink.gif

Agreed. Most towns have something like this. I would suggest looking for this. This may fizzle out, 5 bucks is pretty expensive plus shipping. You have the gif to use now though.

Do you think we could get these done also?

Here

I would love to put that on my rear window, below the washer nozzle.

Okay guys I guess we're gonna have to get them done individually. it'd be better that way, cheaper.

Individually is cheaper? I worked in a print shop for a while- we didn't do vinyl stickers, but we did a lot of things, the basic rule is, individually is a TON more expensive than group. Because individually you're still paying one person to prep the image, printer etc (yes yes, we have the image, but it still needs to be prepped and tested and stuff). As a group, we'd all be sharing the labor cost- the only difference to them is materials and enterting in 30 at the print prompt instead of 1.

Individually will be more expensive than a group. Now, if a group is still 3.00 + 3.50 shipping, it might be more expensive than 5.00 + tax..

I'm in if you do a group thing. Two white ones.

EDIT
And shipping can't be more thna the cost of an envelope and a stamp. When I got decals from Injen as well as ToyotaCelicas.com they just came in a regular US stamped envelope. So like 50 cents for s/h? Plus you could put two decals in each envelope...or more if they order more. these probably won't be that big, I'm guessing the 12 inch long ones by like 2 inches high or whatever...just fold them in half and stick em in an envelope. Lick the stamp and mail it. Pretty simple.

its not gonna work..it'd be way cheaper to get it done urselves...im asking a company and waiting for a reply to see if i can get them discounted...

but as of right now its off. you have the image, just give that to the place and they can make it for you. most towns have an image/vinyl place

I still don't understand the individual reasoning- it still should be a lot more expensive for one person alone.
