I have a few questions for people with lowering springs.
Did anyone have any alignment issues? Did you get your car aligned after installing the springs? What kinda of springs do you have? I have intrax springs on my 3000GT ive had to buy adjustable camber and toe arms to get the rear-end in spec. Anyways, im thinking about going with Tein springs for the Celica. have you looked at your tire wear? The lower your car drops the more negative camber you will have.

i got sportlines. my mechanic said that the camber did change on my car, but it was still within spec. im probably going to get the camber kit at some point just to have it 100% correct.
you really should get an alignment done. think about it, you are taking out your suspension and putting it back in. if that wont make you need an alignment, then i dont know what will. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

you dont need a camber kit. The factory suspension adjustments should allow you to adjust + or - 2 degrees at least with these cars.

any time you mess with any suspension part you should do and aliment, but just beacuse you should doesn't mean you have to... but is is good to do it anyway..

ok, first yeah i guess it is a good idea. But the truth is, if you do it right, your not touching anything that has to do with the alignment, an as long as they dont get moved your fine, i have had 3 mechanics look at it, an said it should be fine, but if pulls at all or anythign else let him know...

To do the front on these cars dont you have to remove the elliptical bolt to pull the strut off? I guess as long as you mark the bolt to the strut and adjust it to the same spot when you put it back then you shouldnt have camber problems in the front.
What they say is for each inch you drop, camber should be pulled out so many degree's which in turn will cause toe to be needing adjustment also. I guess these cars arent too picky about lowering. When i dropped my 3000 with intrax (1.5front,1.7back) the camber went WAY off! The rear wheels were tucked in so much. It does handle wheel but it kills your tires. Look at the rear wheels in this pic... ![]() -------------------- ![]() |

Everytime you play with your suspension you will need an alignment, you may not notice it as much sometimes but you do. Think about, a big pothole can knock the alignment off so taking everything out and back in is worse.
