Well, this started off really bad at first. I tried painting the buttons that control the AC, but the paint bubbled up for some reason and then I wiped it off b4 it dried and it stripped off all off the old factory black color. After a couple of hours of trying to fix this I said 'screw it'. I took out my entire center console and got the climate control unit out (btw be careful not to bend the cables that go to the temp controls when doing this) Anyway i took apart the box and inside is a circuit board. I took it out and took all of the parts out of it. I painted the board and made a custom plexiglass piece for the face, which took hrs. I drilled holes for the bottons and got new round covers for the buttons instead of the square ones. I got pull handles for the cables and put a blue neon light in behind. I am very happy with the way it turned out. It looks awesome IMO and nobody else has anything like this that I have seen. smile.gif

If you plan on doing this, be sure you have plenty of time. It took me almost a week to find parts, etc. and to get it all made and put together, but if you have all of the parts you could probably do it in a day. I'll post pics in my profile ASAP.
