hey guys, i have a problem i have a 94 st...this past october i just recently installed a brand new kenwood head unit in my car, after completing that i tried listening to the music and i turned the volume up to only about 15 and the speakers were making a static noise and you couldnt hear anything if i turned it up louder the sound got louder but the static got even louder. i thought it was because my head unit was too powerful for my stock speakers, so in december i got brand new pioneer 6.5 speakers for all four speaker places (doors, and rear side panals), i just recently got around to installing them seeing that it was too cold to work outside this winter and the snow. Well when i finished putting in the speakers, the static sound still was there just louder because they were nicer speakers... what do i do?! i need help asap!!! i dont know if it is a stock amp that i need to get rid of or something else is wrong, please help me!!!! thanks

im guessing you have a wire crossed or touching off your head unit, im installed at least well a whole lot of head units an that happened to me once, and i relized that i had wires touching. you alos know now that its not your speakers. Thats my only guess , cause i never had a problem like that... so jut check your wires and see if everythings right and not touching.

ok i'll do that, from my memory there are about 5 wires that i had to make a custom connecter out of metal to connect the 2 wires and i know the metal is probably touching, so i'll jut put some electrical tape over those and see what that does and i'll check all of my other wires, any other ideas anyone??? please let me know!!!

the only reason you would make custom connectors is if you have a factory amp and you didnt bypas it , all you need to do is plug into the blue clips under the factory amp and it works there should be no reason to splice wires

no you dont understand, me being the dumba$$ that i am, i clipped 5 wires to the stock wiring harness, and i then realized that i didn't need to do that, well the wires were cut really short so i made a custom connecter to connect the wirest back to the wiring harness... but i need to go home today and check it out, cause i think it is either that or i crossed a wire, or because i didn't solder the wires, i just twisted them together with those wires twists....
