Ok, i have seen a couple pics of this being done to the Celica.
I might be looking into doing it too just for shows for a clean look. Anyone have some good quality pics of this??? -------------------- Jared Harwell

Thats actually fairly simple, since the license plate piece on a hatch is removable just bondo it, and repaint it... as for where to put your license plate afterwards is a different story.
In FL we only use 1 license plate, when I lived in NY we had to have the two. |

check out my profile. its a shoddy pic but it was the best i can do. its not hard to do at all. once i get my new front bumper on and will be remolding the tag area and repainting.

I thought CT you only had to have 1?
In NY i know its 2, ive gotten ticketed for it. But CT used to be only 1, unless recently changed. -------------------- |

Im really just wanting to get a spare plate and glass it over. Throw it on at shows for a cleaner look. Put it back on for the trip home.
If i can find a place to relocate the tag i will do that, but the only place i can think of is right under the rear bumper. with my bags, it prolly won't last long there. -------------------- Jared Harwell

No its not a showcar!!
This is my only car and i drive it every day! For the license plate thing! I made it myselve! Its not so hard to do, the only thing thats difficult is to put the licence plate under your rear-bumper and put some lights abouve it.(so you can run at night) |

you should save your money and do it yourself. cheapest way i can think of doing it is to bond a cut of steel or wood inside the recess. then start to build it up with bondo and top it off with fiber resin. then sand and fill in until you are happy with the shape. wet sand, wet sand, wet sand, primer, wet sand, primer and get it painted.

Well at first i took out the light and the cable!
Then i sprayed some faum (i do'nt know how it named) to fill up the hole: 1) ils very light! 2) after its dry you can cuut oof the rest and sandpaper it like you want! After that, put a layer fiberglass over an paint it!! Thats all!! |
