i was considering doing this as well, theyll fit i believe, they take a little custom work though to make the triangle base pieces to fit properly.

First off i didn't know that there were M3 mirrors out for the corolla. Secondly I know that K2 is looking into getting them. But you could get the universal ones and have them cut down the side pieces to fit onto the mounts. Also I doubt that the corolla mirrors would fit. But I then you would have to look at them and see or tr to mount one on the car.

i had a set, just sold them to a guy on celica.net cuz i decided not to put them on. they will fit, but will take a little massaging to work well. you have to drill another hole and make/modify a base piece to fit.

lol

Newayz.. I took a couple measurements of my friends 5th gen and drove up to my car and measured the mirrors... wanted to take a mirror off of my friends car and take it with me to hold it up to my car but he didnt want to drive around all day w/o a mirror.. cant blame him for that..

I tried to be as exact as possible but I was using a yard stick and that made it a little harder the part that I measured was the triangle where the mirror bolts to the side of the vehicle you know what I am talkin about.

the 1st measurements are the length of the bottom of the triangle.. where it is parrallel with the groung, the 2nd measurement is the side of the triangle facing the front of the vehicle and the 3rd measurement is the side of the triangle facing the rear of the vehicle

5th gen measurements

5 7/8 inch
8 inch
5 1/2 inch

6th gen measurements

6 1/2 inch
8 1/2 inch
5 7/8 inch

I also calculated the angles for these triangles.. the 1st angle is the corner on the bottom facing the front of the vehicle. the 2nd angle is the corner on top. and the 3rd is the angle of the corner on the bottom facing the rear.

5th gen angles

43 degrees
46 degrees
91 degrees

6th gen angles

43 degrees
50 degrees
87 degrees

what all this means is that the 5th gen mirrors are smaller than the 6th gen's on the mounting point.. the triangle of the 5th gen fits inside the 6th gen's one.. the dimesions of the triangles are not perportional but it will still fit inside with both of the bottom sides being level... so the mirror wont have a funny angle to it.. the only real problem I see is that there will be a small gap where the mirrors mount on to he vehicle. this can be filled in with body filler or fiberglass pretty easy thought.. you might also be able to attach the mounting part of the 6th gen mirror to the 5th gen but would have to look into this...

If neone is interested I could post photos of the triangles to make this a little easier to understand.

Hey guys, what about the stylish type of mirrors that are on the toyota 2000GT. Like the mitsu 3000GT and RX-7. And also, I have tryed to picture it in my head, but do you guys think it would look good in the middle of the hood like high class sports cars or just on the side where they are at?

Ha, if you want to do something that looks funny, just mount them up on your roof and be different.

No these are the Corolla M3 mirrors. I got them put on, however they don't fit even close to well. I'll post pics later today.

I tried to make a post explaining and showing each picture. But it said there was an errror loading the pictures. So if you want to see them go toM3 Mirrors Some custom mounting will be necessary. The holes on the back of the plates don't match up with the holes in our cars. New holes are needed to be drilled into the plate given.

I just put them on for a test fit. Some new molding and fitting will be needed.
Since the new mirrors don't line up properly, you won't have a seal to keep water out of the doors. You'll need to fill it with insulation or something. I bought a spray can from Lowe's for 3 bucks. Worked like a charm.
It mounts at an angle, so don't be surprised if it looks kinda funny. But you'll learn to love it.
Looks Ferocious in real life, the images kinda takes away from some it.

You can see that it angles upward
As soon as I get some more time, I'm going to go back and adjust and modify til it fits flush. But that's all I got right now.
