paint idea, what to do Options

i am going to paint my whole car in the next 3 weeks or so before the first show , so i went to a body shop to get a price to finish my kit and paint the whole car , turns out a guy in my car club is working there now didnt know dont talk much in winter , but they said they would sand and fix all dings and chips and what not, finsh the body kit [rear] and paint the car with black with green pearl then color sand and buff for 1700 or less depending on the time it takes, does that sound ok or not , one place wanted 3-4 grand
