i have been reading several posts and was wondering what people were talkin about. does heating up the fiberglass make it soft and more pliable till it cools down? if so this might really help me out.

I doubt it very much I never tried it, it will probably work on thin pieces like 1/4" or 1/2" maybe even 3/4" but I doubt it will work on bodykits, etc.

I have used heat guns to warp/straighten panels of bodykits in the past. Ive used it on carbon fiber and fiberglass parts. Lets say your installing your side skirts, one side is on and the other is warped towards outside. You would then heat up the part of the side skirt that needs warping and when its pliable, temporary attach it with screws and run the heat gun on it. Let it cool down and do it again after it cools down. It will warp in the right direction. This is a little trick I learned from the guy who runs z-therapy. He has a great video on molding, warping and bodykit installation. I greatly recommend it.

yep works great for the stubborn skirt or bumper just dont get em too hot or too close and burn the piece your working on (dont ask how i know) but its ussally very forgiving and easy to do and wear gloves!
