Hey wazuppers everybody,

OK here's the question, what is better springs or coilovers (which is better suspension wise, you know not so bouncy), and not the expensive stuff, just reasonable price stuff, could they be a do-it yourself and some bidies project or do they need profressional installation. Finally do I need to buy a camber kit if lowering 1.5"+ . If so, does any one know were I can get them and about how much. What brand springs or coilovers is it going to be.

Nope, you shouldn't need a camber kit on a sixth generation Celica. You just will need to get a four wheel alignment once you lower your car. Also, if I were you and you're not interested in raising and lowering your car in the winter and stuff, I'd just go for some Eibach springs. If you want coilovers, I'd suggest Ground Control, though I've heard that Dropzone coilovers are just about as good.

ok, first off, if you wanna go cheap, then you're gonna get the bouncy ride you don't want. w/ coilovers, don't bother unless you're gonna spend the 400 and go w/ the Ground Control. as springs go, if you're looking for 1.5+ inches, my recomendation would be INTRAX springs (about 220 bucks). They drop the car about 1.75" and offer a great stock-like ride (i had these before i got my Ground Controls). your camber should be alright with a drop like that, but don't drive for years w/o getting an alignment, they're nice to get once in a while. wink.gif . you should need no camber kit, as my car is lowered about 2.5" and the shop i went to was able to get my toe/caster/camber all in spec w/o any aftermarket adjustment tools. hope this helps buddy. hit back w/ any other questions. biggrin.gif

Ok i got a question, i lowered my car with INTRAX springs (it seems that i ordered not the INXX but INTRAX springs), my car droped about 2" and its not bouncy at all smile.gif , but... Now, then i turn my steering wheel to left (or right) till the end, i hear some strange noises. Were was no noise then car was in stock height... That can this be? Do i need a strutbars now or what? confused.gif

P.S. These sounds are not from the steering servo...

those are just your springs wearing in. they will always be there but will get less noticeable after time. nothing to worry about.

I get those same noises. It sounds kinda like my car is creeking or something, and sometimes it's a pretty loud kinda thud sound. I've looked and haven't seen any damage, so I figure it's just my coilovers breaking in.
