First of them, how do you guys connect your RR FPR / FMU? Do you leave your stock FPR in the place, or do you remove it? Cuz all the setups that i saw, had they stock FPR's in place? How would you recomend to do this?

Second thing, that keeps me crazy, is what do you do with your Head gasket? Do you leave this one stock, and cross finger that it wound blow, or you just change it to somthing? Cuz seems that no one has 7A triple metal head gasket for sale, and the company that i makes thme here, just backed out, and they wount be able to make me custom metal head gasket..... What to do at this place?

Thanks,
Dogg....y

You have to leave it if you're using an add on rising rate regulator (which is what I recommend). Bell engineering makes a nice unit. Thats what I'll be using.

The stock 7a head gasket is metal, or at least metal reinforced. It should do just fine up to some pretty high levels of boost (10psi I would think no problem). In fact a head gasket of this type acts as a 'fuse' of sorts. If you're getting detonation that you can't hear, it will often blow a stock head gasket before it melts a piston (but not always). This can sometimes warn you of problems before you break expensive parts.

Well, ill be using Mallary RR FPR, so i think i will folow your advise. About the gasket, well, got to figure out somthing, cuz i want to boost over the 12 psi... biggrin.gif

If the 4age head will fit no problem on the 7afe, then the 4age head gasket will fit on the 7a no problem. Blitz, HKS, and TRD all make 4age head gaskets. All sizes from .5mm to 2mm

I've heard they're slightly different. I seem to remember soembody having overheating problems. It might be possible to modify a 4a one to fit. Just have to buy one and see.

i used to hit my speed limiter and the car was still pulling like a stock 7a does in 1st gear

0 to limiter and back to 0 in under 1 min

i thought about removing the limiter, but then i though of how fast i would be going with out it.(limiter kicked in at 4100-4200rpm, still 1500-1600 more rpm before redline)

at 115mph, as it is things are flying past you, let alone any faster, and its more thrilling/scary when it doesnt take long to reach those speeds

You probably weren't really going 130. These speedos are off by quite a bit. Mine was readingg 126 when the gps said 111. I'll probably do 130 after your turbo tho!!! Maybe more, depends on the tire size (gearing).

The speed limiter is really easy to defeat.

Well, actually myne would went more, but my RPM range wount let it, and i had a fuel cut. My RPM was 6900 as i said, that means, fully toped (and i checked RPM on my S-AFC). I rather say that my speedo is showing a bit lower then in reality, cuz then i done the top out, i was on my stock rims&tires. Actually i'v done 210 kmh few times already, and had no problem, but if i go little more my fuel cut wount let me. So i dont think i have a speed limiter.

If you turbo ur 7afe is there a way to knock down the rpms a bit to reach higher speeds ? internals ? grearing in the tranny ?
Is it possible to reach 130to150mph?
Can it be done with a turbo 7a ?
Is there anyone out there that makes a lightweight fly wheel for the 7a ?
What I'm really wondering is how fast you would be going at the end of a quarter mile?

Thanks guys sorry again
