at the local crusie spot in worcester i raced a del sol beat that in 1st then secound just pulled sum more put the clutch in and let him catch up to talk to him. then on the way home. i was with my buddy he was in his mustang 6 cylinder smile.gif and an intergra pulls up and he floors it doing about 75. the integra owned him. so the mustang kid points to me to go get him. so im off. i get on the side of him doing 75 we both do the look then i gun it in forth. held it to redline 105 mph about. and i had him by atleast a car length.and was still pulling. but the next group of cars on the highway was coming so we both let off. was fun.

p.s late at night. on a small town highway. i know the roads. know where the cops hang out. and we where the only cars for about a mile.

Hey man ever dynoed your car? or have any idea what its putting down? Unlike most kills on this site I totally believe that one!

Oh and are you getting the c-one bumper? that would be way sicker then what you have now!

actually i plan to get the c-one kit. would look hot. as for dyno-ing it. i neve had na after market exhaust jsut a muffler so buy the end of next week ill have a 2.5 downpipe back high flow cat exhaust system. im dead serious of it giving at least 20hp. the spool up will be so quicker. stock pipeing is not ment for a turbo.

so maybe after i get my kit and paint it if i have money left over ill pay 100 bucks for an hour.

with the left over money ill by a spelling tutor. biggrin.gif

Nah, my Sol has a for sale sign in the front window now. I need something more entertaining with a little more space

Oh yeah, and I doubt it was me since it probably wasn't a phat kid driving it wink.gif And I wouldn't race a Turbo simply because I would lose AND I still gotta pay an $81 ticket and don't feel like getting pulled over again anytime soon.

And my del 'slow' can actually beat a stock GT and maybe one with minor mods, not by much, but it can. Although down here all the little ricers seem to like the automatic STs and the automatic Civics. Gonna be hard work selling an actual manual Sol Si around here.

Maybe a hatchback GT 5-spd Celi, although there is a nice '99 GSX with low miles up in Tampa. Still checking around and I already got some people looking at my car. Gotta love ricers that think that Honduh + Si = fast. lol, I'm gonna rip them off so bad since their all rich kids.

go with the GSX. they feel just like 6th gens but have the drivetrain and power than the 6h gen's should have gotten(usdm models anyway)

99 is the most reliable year

a gsx is 3270lbs, a celica gt weighs in at 2580 acording to Edmunds.com

it is a big difference in weight, but a GSX is AWD and it does have more than 1.5 times the power

Im really thinking about getting one, I would rather have a swapped celica, but thats more money then i wanna spend on a car, but if someone is selling one next spring Id probably buy it. Otherwise its a gsx, or mr2t again.
