Hey i recently bought a 95 st hatchback, the 7a-fe engine, and have been doing alot of research. I really want it to to be faster, and i'm looking to do an engine swap, it seems that the 3S-GTE is the best choice. But i've been looking around and can't find it anywhere. i live in the US, NC to be exact. does anyone know any sites or places where i could find and price a 3S-GTE? Any info would be greatly appreciated. thx in advance!
Also do u guys think a swap is the best choice, or should i try to modify the 7a-fe? it seems that it's really a hassle to mod that engine. |

haah owned. i did actually check on ebay, but i checked for gt4 rather then just the engine. Doh! thx. but about my second question is it best just to change the engine then rather try to mess with the crappy stock one?

 No one can give you that answer its personal preference. 7AFE has some potential, 3sgte probobly has more but more down time illigal blah blah blah....

The 3sgte is a performance engine with performance in mind. The 7afe is an economy engine, with economy in mind. Can the 7afe made to be quick, yes. It'll cost you just as much as a swap. You may want to consider an alternative. I dont kno about the 7afe, or the 4agze, but I wonder if there can be a hybrid 7afe bottom end with a 4agze top end featuring the SC. Definately search cuz we cant, and wont mention all the information on this website and others. -------------------- |

Ok not probably jeezzee I wasnt tryna fine tune it to be an argument for court I just gave him an idea, Yes the 3sgte we know has been pushed up too 1000 hp, the 7afe I saw one at around 450, so the 3sgte has more potential from what we have seen. However both though can suite you depending on what you want to do.
