I have no experience with the Koyo rad, sorry.
If you remove the AC completely, the heater and defrost will still work; they are separate systems. Just be sure to block off the hols in the plenum where the refrigerant lines used to go. Also, carry a rag with you if you live in a humid area. I find myself using my AC just about every time it rains just to clear the fog from the inside of my car's windshield. You should be able to install and oil cooler, no problem. Same with transmission cooler if you will be running an auto trans. Manuals, however don't generally have coolers except on endurance or rally applications, and would take a little fabrication and an electric fluid pump to get working. Imo, best to not worry about it with a 5-speed. |

radiators are over-rated... you dont need one. Lose your current one and save weight and save the 300 and buy a wing.

i am going to keep all of the a/c stuff just not on my car, if i ever need it i will be able to put it back on in a couple of hours tops
i rarely use ac when i drive now, in my geo the a/c drains 90% of the power i do plan on high boosting, very much so in fact, so that means i should get the $312 Koyo does anyone know where i could find a cheaper high performance radiator perhaps one that will fit in my car but not neccessarily made for it thanks for all the help by the way -------------------- |

Griffon makes a number of aluminum racing radiators for less than $320. I'm sure you could make some brackets to suit the Celica if you can find a radiator with the proper dimensions and with the hose inlet/outlet in roughly the right configuration.
I don't know much about doing so in a modern Celica, but I've fitted one to a '77 GT and it bolted right in, heh. |
