ok here is the deal i went to a friends house in eugene, or last weekend and i got high centered on the speed bumps every time i went through his apartment complex. it sucked. so now i'm looking at the universal air rods at streetbeatcustoms.com. i was just wondering if anybody has done this and how hard it was. and if so how do you like them?

Someone named Drag-Onz who used to be on celica.net had this done, and I think Cliff(1exquisitcelica) was planning on doing this. You may want to contact him and see if he ever did do it.

Thats a pretty good price.
Is that for fast bags or slow bags??

I really don't know man. One of my very good friends is a distributer for Godfather customs, so i can get parts at super low prices. He's checking with nopi also, so hopefully I can get nopi parts soon at like, half price and stuff. I tried to get a few group buys going, but you know how it is.

Edit: he did say they were the best made though, if that tells you anything.

one problem. celicas have a mcpherson struts all the way around and the only airbags that will work are the airstrut from chassi tech and they are $500 A PAIR

as far as weight goes. the bags are light but then you got tank, compresser, gauges, hoseline, and switches. as far as benefits you can change your ride height any time you want. the only draw back about bags is they dont handle corners very well.

Probably around 1k for just the major parts. bags, tank, lines compressor etc. The actual mounting i have no clue about. like I say, I need to get in touch with my buddy bowen. I wasn't at all interested in bags, but he's one of these lowrider truck guys and priced bags for my car. I never asked what it ws. frown.gif I lost his effing voice mail #! I'll have to CALL TN to get him.

Ha, and I bet the guys selling him the parts are making at least 50% profit. you guys have no clue how low prices really are if you know the right people.

Bags are really cheap when you look at it. It's basically just replacing your shocks and struts and running a few lines. (both electronic and air feed) but I would just let my friend instally all of it. He'd do it for free,,, well, for me anyway. : ) HA,

Edit: so does anybody actually want me to get a price?

I have no intrest in these.
Bags would just end up getting trashed on by everyone.

what up dudes, long time no see.....
i think bags are awesome on my old celica..but you have to get bags because of the mcpherson struts..so you cant slam it on the ground at shows..i got my kit from hack shack for like 1200 about 2 years ago....its fun but expensive..compressors keep blowing up and valves and what not..

ok DO NOT GO AIR STRUTS. they do not lay out as much as air cylinders would. regular air cylinders will not work also due to the mcpherson strut suspension. you will HAVE to go with mac cans from BRISLAND'S out of CANADA. the mac can is designed to turn with the front suspension just the way a mcpherson strut would. or also another way u can do is go hydraulics. way better in my opinion. get back with me if u want more info on the hydraulics. iexquizitcelica@aol.com

air bags are illegal also and im sorry to say air bags will not work on the celica. airbags are only pretty much for trucks, full frame vehicles, rear wheel drive vehicles. front wheel drive your looking at either air cans or hydraulics. and aircans are only pretty much for the honda/acura, eclipse. they have a mac can for the mcpherson strut suspension at BRISLAND'S...
