im doing the 3sgte swap and i called to get a tranmission at toyota. i talked to the guy and im getting a gt-s trans, first will this fit? then he said it wont hold up that long and it'll probably blow on me, is this true? and comments>?

No it will not work for starters!
You need to either get a 94-99 GT Transmission or a GT4 Transmission. I think that a MR2 tranny will work also but someone will have to back me on this. The GT-S tranny was not built for a 3s-gte engine nor was it built with a 3s-gte at all. Whatever tranny you get ie. GT or GT4 i'm pretty sure you have to get the axles along with it so you don't run into other problems along the way.

Just buy the tranny with the engine, or use a gt tranny - i might be selling mine in a month but thats then, not now.

u mean gt-s canada or as in 2000+ gts
if its from canada then it'll hold up

yep, the GT tranny from a 6th gen will hold up fine, in fact, there is a guy running 400 HP on it and it's still kickin. a 2000+ tranny will not match up, nor will it hold up to the torque of the 3sgte.
