hi, i'm retarded and i dont know how to upload pictures in the forums....someone please humor me and tell me how

you need a host.. some were, to link the pictures off of.. like imagestation.com once you have your pics hosted.. you right click the pics and copy the url.. then on here you click the IMG button and past the url of the pic there..

Yeah photobucket.com is the best. You can also use http://www.gunstig.org/6gc/ which was setup just for 6gc.net.

ok i know this post is old, but i have never posted pics on a forum before. I obviously used the search and I did everything it said, i set up a photobucket account but when i tried to post pics i got this message:

THE FOLLOWING ERROR(S) WERE FOUND
You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board. A valid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.gif, an invalid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.one.gif


and this is on the URL's for one of the pics:

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y188/TRD6GC/camber2.bmp

What am i doing wrong?

I know i can just paste in the URL, but what about making it show up on the actual forum?

you ase linking the picture, and not the image

view the image, right click it and go to properties
copy the link in there and use that to post the image up

first of all you can't post a bitmap [.bmp] image on this forum. you want to save it as a jpg or gif. once you have that uploaded copy and paste the address between the two image tags as show below

Alright got it, just a couple more questions. How do i save an image as gif. instead of bitmap? Just change it when i click save as? And the image button when you post on the forum puts in the image code for you right?
