 BEAMS update, July 17, harness test fit |

I decided to test fit the harness to see if the changes would be long enough. This entailed installing the harness on the engine and doing a quick engine install to check things out.
 The unfinished harness installed on the engine The engine going in  It fits, I have made correct measurementsHere are a few pics of the motor.     Next project: "The rat's nest." Believe it or not, I must now 'shorten' most of the wires that go to the firewall. I only needed to lengthen 12 wires.  The injector plugs sorted themselves out when I installed the motor. Thanks to the rubber jackets on the wires. Age had placed permenent kinks in them that only allowed them to fit in one place. when I re-routed the wiring, I thought it to be very striaght forward so I only took these pictures. I did not record which wires I added to.
    5S-FE harness BEAMS harness Relocation complete The rats nest.The next task is to clean up the harness and I also have a few plugs to move like the data connector and such. After that it will fit the car like the stock harness. I can then start the hard part, rewiring the plugs. Could you help us with our figureing out all the wiring .. an making a how to or what not?
