What kind of paint are you using? I hope it's not the Duplicolor stuff.

They make a dye? I used the Duplicolor fabric and vinyl paint in black a while ago and it looked good, but was kind of hard initially, even though I brushed the paint in. Once people sat in the seats for a week or so, they softened up, but now, a few months after using the paint, it's turning to a white-ish color in a few places, and looks really bad.

What I really want to do is find Mar-Hyde carpet dye(which is an actual dye and works great from what I hear), but it's like trying to find a ST205 in the US. frown.gif

I have painted headliner before. It comes out nice!! Uses lots of paint though. I just used regular spray paint. It wont be all nice and soft but like ive told people before, who cares? Its not like you really ever touch it! I think if you did "brush" it out after it dried it would soften up but i didnt really care. Go for it, you will be surprised how nice it can come out.
