Cover what hole? If you took off the stock spoiler there should be three on both sides and one (or two) in the middle. Closing it off right involves welding the holes shut with a mig welder, using body filler, and repainting that area of the car.

go buy some metal tape, use a peice to cover the whole area, push the tape in the hole after you layed it flat over the hole. get some fberglass.dyna-glass or what evers, sand 80 grit, put some body filler over it, sand 80 grit, then some spot putty sand down with 220 grit, call it a day

you can get the tape from pepboys, look in the phone book for body shop supplies and ask them if they carry body fillers and fiberglass filers. Evercoat is a good name.
filler site this is a good site to buy stuf from , i get my supplies from them |

if you took it to a body shop, how much would you be looking at? and also if using the method/s above, is it very noticable that there were holes there in the first place?

Well I just finished welding up my holes. I took off the stock spoiler and am putting on the hiro wing. The holes that didn't match, I welded up and it looks great. I still have to paint the car but you can't see the holes anymore. This is most likely what a bodyshop is going to do.

To do that: use a surface grinder and grind to bare metal all around the holes you'll be welding (about an inch or so from the hole). Now grind to the bare metal somewhere else in an unnoticable place, this is where you'll connect the charge clamp from the welder. Now weld the holes shut. When you've got them welded up, use the surface grinder to grind the weld down flush with the car. The heat from the welding is going to cause the metal around the welds to heat up and it's going to sink down a little. That why you need to use body filler. Fill over the welds and smooth out the sinkage until it looks like original. Then repaint it.

Well it seems both ways will work. How durable is that tape? The only problem I see is that if that tape sunk in, the filler wouldn't be strong enough to hold the shape.

the tape is only there to make a mold. look at 8, its fiberglass,9 is the filler over the glass.

hwo about just finding some type of rubbler stopper to put in there. if you do it the same color as your car, it wont look that bad, and you can reinstall the wing, if you choose to go back to that look later.

Well it depends dude, see if he's gonna be putting in a new wing, rubber stoppers might get in the way. I guess it just depends. Beautiful car by the way lagos.
