Ok, so i noticed when i was washing my car the other day, and my paint was litteraly pealing off! My uncle looked at it and said it looks like they didnt prime it right for fiberglass, and if it had, it wouldnt be this bad! Anyone have any thought into this?

So the paint is peeling off of your fiberglass pieces? Didn't you paint them yourself? If so, did you use primer over the pieces and then wet sand them before painting them?

I had the shop do it first, and they supposedly primed it and everything, but i tried to fix the peeling parts, didnt work out that well

You can use any primer. What matters the most is other preparations. Making sure the car isn't wet when the primer/paint is shot. Making sure the car isn't greasy when the primer/paint is shot. Proper sanding of the car before the primer and after.

I mean, it will be hard to determine exactly where the paint job went wrong. Could be the paint, could be the primer, could be the actuall preperation. It's just hard to say.

No i don't think so

fiberglass is one of the 3 big car materials.

Fiberglass
Urethane
Metal

Saying they dont know how paint will stick to fiberglass is like saying they've never done such a paint job before. To me, its bull.... talk to the owner and see what he says.

Definetly what he said. If that's the best excuse they can come up with... they must have fallen off the short bus pretty hard.
