ok anyone with a 3sgte swap using a MR2 trannsmision i need to see pics of your shift linkage setup, i need to know what linkage you used and if you had to make any modifications to it, and what other parts you had to use (linkage connector, what mounts, everything thats needed extra to use the MR2 tranny that would not come with it), part numbers would be greatly appricicated
i have had several different people tell me several didderent things as far as what you have to do and what parts to use i just need to clarify this by people that have actually done this

Please only people that HAVE DONE this reply
please if you have not done this swap your self do not post suggestions or links to guides i have seen several but they do not answer my questions

this is what someone told me

Hello,
It is more than the linkage, the shift rod comes out of the wrong side
of the tranny on the MR2 trans....... Like I said before, you can convert
the MR2 tranny for FWD use, but it is very difficult. I would instead get
the Solara V6 trans, or use a Camry 5 speed from a 5sfe car.... The
Camry/Celica 5sfe trans is almost as strong, and much easier to find. Also
with the Camry/Celica trans, axles from a Celica would bolt right in....

Carl C

i don't want to use the solara tranny for one reason, i ahve already paid for a MR2 tranny with LSD

the pictures would help you tons, but unfortunately, they aren't there anymore. there are, however, directions on how to do it.
