How much (average...) would it cost to re-paint an entire car???...NOT factory colors but custom paint.

depend where and who you get to do the work for you. a paintjob can cost anywhere from 1 to 10k. I'd say 5k is a bit high for a average paintjob though, maybe more in the range of 2 or 3k.

he said the entire car. i was assuming the engine bay and door jambs etc.

but yeah for just the basic paint job it will be less than that.


you can buy the equipment, paint and take a class for like 1000

i did that (well still doing it) i also took some autobody and some car repair classes.

I don't know how to put this but you pay for what you get and that's that...Maaco is like the biggest rip off i've heard though, stay away from them..

Doesn't Maaco do paint jobs in like 2hrs? That would explain the crap job if they do.
