I have an alpine cd player. its getting dirty and not really reading come cds..should I buy a CD player cleaner thing, or take it to Best buy/ circuit city to have it cleaned??

Taking it to be cleaned will probably work better, thats if they take it apart and clean the laser lens etc.
But a CD cleaner will make it better but not perfect.

how long have you had it and if you hadn't cleaned it ever before then best buy prolly would work. Though I've had a pioneer for 3 years and only cleaned it once with one of cleaners and that worked. I would say just go with the cleaner to start off with. Its not that much.
