I'd like to see what you guys and gals think of this color. I know I know, I shouldn't have a picture of a car other than a celi, but... this color only came on lambo's. Just tell me if it's a prob and I'll take em off.

What do you think of this color?? This is 2003 Lamborghini Arancio Atlas:

Actually it's not too expensive depending on how you look at it. It's a tri-stage candy orange, so it does have a lot of steps to it. But all candy's are tri-stage. Basically, HOK Kandy's ran about $800-$900 for my car, PPG Candy's $650, and this Lambo color $750-$850. What makes the lambo color expensive is the pearl coat that makes it candy. It was like $100-$150 a quart depending on the color.

I think orange is a great show car color. Its flashy but doens't look out of place. Great Choice! Make sure to post pics when you get it painted.

Orange is nice, but it's a bit too extravagant for MY tastes. But if I could afford a lambo color as a paintjob, I think I'd probably take it.

I got some exciting news... my gf's dad is a bodyman so I told him about the paint and all. He talked to his painter to see if he'd paint it for me. The painter said he could probably paint my car for the same amount of money as I'd spend on the paint. So like I'd spend $750 and my car's painted candy orange! Apparently he's one of the best painters in town too biggrin.gif He just wants the paint codes so he can mix the color in Sikkens brand paint (what he's used to working with) instead of PPG. I'm waiting now for his call to see what goes down.

I think the same way. Orange is a nice attention drawing color and I'll definetly put up some pics when i'm done wink.gif

It's not just lambo colors. Almost any candy color is gonna be about that price. It's worth it to me though

I just heard about getting the paint job today. Here's the deal. If I buy the paint it'll cost me $750. The painter says he can get me the paint for $600 and then he's gonna charge $100 to rent the spraybooth and $200 to paint it, if I do all the prep work. biggrin.gif

hmmm. I'm not sure how that adds up. 750 if you buy the paint, so if the paint costs 600 thats a total of 1350. but then its 100 for the spraybooth and 200 for labor so that figure should be 1050 including paint? or is that 900 total for paint, booth, and labor? I'm just very confused right now.

regardless its a hell of a lot cheaper than my paint job. congrats!

It's $900 for it all. He can get the paint cheaper than I can, I guess through his work. I'm stoked cuz as it looks I'll be getting a lambo candy orange paint job from a great painter for under $1000 smile.gif .

Update: I found out lastnight that it's $900 for him to paint just the exterior of the car. I'm gonna have to paint in all the door jams and inside the hatch and under the hood. Which will mean i've gotta take the doors and hatch off to get paint in there. Heh, that'll be fun tongue.gif That's still an awesome deal though. I'll probably start painting in a few weeks.
