i just installed mine today, SO FRIGGEN HARD. the 6.5 inch speaker did not fit at all. my stock speaker had a sqaure bracket , so my new speaker went in crooked. i also had to cut a lot off the panals that cover the speakers. ... they sound good tho. i hope the fronts will be easiser. the rears took e like 2.5 hours

it was horrible, i had 3 cuts on my hands from all this bull****, and blood on my seats. why does toyota have to make this so badly. o yeah and the side panals dont fit right ne more, and a bolt that goes under the speaker grill wont go in now becuase the area where it gets threaded into is broken ... cant wait for the front

yeah, i installed all 4 speakers about a month ago. it was hell for me. it seemed like everything went wrong. fronts arent nearly as bad as rears, you just have to make a mounting bracket.

Hehe, sorry to say but in all the 6th gens Ive done the fronts are always more difficult and require more creativity than the rears do. Good luck

If you have the 8-speaker setup its tough. I installed new 4" Kicker Resolutions in the front along with 8" Kicker RMB-8 midbass drivers.
Just to install the 4" Kickers, I had to Dremel a 3"x1" chunk of metal from each door to clear the magnet...lol. And then comes feeding the wires through. That sucked more than anything else. On the positive side, the speakers sound awesome, but my amp doesnt want to work in stereo mode for the 8", so im halfway there. -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |

Man i don't see how it was that hard, my front speakers are what really pissed me off. I had to build a custom bracket for those. The rear ones went straight in without a problem, sorry to hear about that though, good thing they work though
