Well, one of my speakers finaly blew out and its time to redo it. Im trying to get an idea of what to get, from what im told JL makes Great subs for clarity and decent volume. What are other alternatives? Also im looking for speakers for the front and back of a ST stock, I beleive they have 6 1/2 in front if im not mistaken not sure on the back.... My goal is to get all new midranges inside couple subs in the back and a new headunit for around 1000.... goal out of subs is pretty good thump and great SQ. If anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Well, you have less SQ with a coupe to begin with because they have to blast through the seats, but you're off to a pretty good start. For that kind of money check out Alpine for the speakers, and a cheaper head unit.

I slowly built my system.. For reatail of all and all, it prolly retails for around $2600- $3000 nice.. a few things you might want to concider... get some good sound deadner, nice install, nice wires... Wires make the biggist dif.. i cannot stress that enough to people. Also, think about weight .. I have two 12" he2's .. and a big box, pretty good amount of extra weight, that I really dont need. Persaly , Im thinking of wiring up 3 sets 6-8" woofers through out my car .. Alos sence I have like 3 extra pairs of brand new speakers, I might wire them up as well.. but not sure where exact im going to mount them.

Sound… let’s start from the beginning.
1.Get a good head unit. That is the brain of your system. If the head unit reproduces crap it does not matter what other components you have… you will hear crap.
2.you do not need big speakers to have big bass. JL audio makes great subs, I had 6 subwoofers on my 5 gen Celica they were the 8w6 and trust me it was deep clear bass
3.Have an EQ.. you don’t need to have a 30x2 but if you can then get it.. any 9 band with a subwoofer control will do.
4.Have a separate amp for the subs
5.run a X-over for the separates with a separate amp
6.the audio signal gets to the speakers via wires.. Therefore use good wires !

If you have any question please feel free to contact me…

Check this out...

thank you. It just takes time to decide what is it that you like and eliminate things that you like but it wont look rigth. Just because you like it does not mean that it will look good...
