Clear Euro Style Rear Tail Lights, Who wants them?, Take a look guys tell me what you think Options

Hi guys,

I have just talked to several clear euro style tail light producers and pitched the idea for a 6th Gen Celica Tail light since I don't see any out there. Would any people on here be interested in such a product being made? If so let me know so maybe we can get some made and do a group buy or something. I just need to know if there is a demand for this or not so I can talk to the manufacturers again. So just post and let me know your thoughts on this idea. Thanks for looking guys.

Do you think you could find some pics of light that you like style wise and i can ask them if they can make along the same lines for the celica. I have to show them some ideas. Maybe somebody good in photoshop can even take a stock tail and photochop it to look they way you want that way we know what were talking about here.

I would love to have someone make tails for our cars. I wouldn't mind altezzas anything is better than paying all the money for JDM Tails when there practicly the same thing.

our stock tails are pretty pimp... i dono what all you guys are talkin about. there arent too many stock taillights on the market that look as good... the bezel around the lights is pretty unique.

I agree, but whats the harm in asking for something new? I mean, maybe one of these companies will make a tailight that is worth buying?

Is this what kind of tail you guys were talking about? Like just clear. I photochopped this really quick. Its sorta like the home made kind, but the frame part is clear and rest is diffused and reverse light is clear too. Take a look.

That's exactly how I feel. I'd probably never put altezzas on my car, unless maybe they were those 3d ones like APC makes, and I could paint them the color of my car.

You guys are making me sick! Basically your saying that altezza's are gay becasue Honda's have them? It just makes you sound jealous because companies make more parts for ****ty honda's than they do for our celicas. Lets not fight over whether Altezzas are cool or not.......this is a potential for our cars to get some actual aftermarket support that we have very little of right now. I personally think that idea of getting decent priced tails of some sort would be awesome, and even if they were altezzas (which im sure from a manufacturing POV are much easier to make since they would use the same material), they would still sell regardless- people want to see something new and fresh on their cars.

Anyway.....is there a good chance these tails could become a reality???

Hmm, here is a Led type concept I just quickly photochopped which also looks like the skyline light. Take a look. Its also Carbon Fibre and tinted a bit like you guys said you wanted. Need some feed back. Thanks

personally we should focus more on performance aftermarket, our cars look fine plus we already are getting more support in the exterior department within the last 4 months weve been given 4 more bodykit options which is a pretty good pace... we need to focus on what our car lacks, some performance!

and the chance these go through is about 50/50 depends how much everyone follows through.

im not really into fake carbon fiber and chrome...
i think that the smoked look fits the car. fake CF just looks, well fake.

well, a while ago i found out my car was painted a different color before i bought it. it was in an accident... so to make a long story short. i dont really know what color it is since its not a stock color(i dont think anyways). but thx for u comments. im getting it painted again in a few after the kit is installed. i want it that same color just with a little bit more metallic.

I really am interested in an aftermarket clear light.. expessally since my car is going to be a dark grey and all of my front end lights are clear thats gonna make the tails stick out like a sore thumb@!

Im not a big fan of "alltelzza's" like the smoked or totatlly clear look better but dont care for the crome look... Maybe contact APC about having a set of the retro 3d ones made.. those are SWEET lookin and could be painted to match the car - that would be my preference but would take nething clear over stock...let me know how this goes


BTW the homemade office lighting thing looks like pieced together junk

But you can buy fiberglass kit stuff at like walmart and make your own covers for your tails using that.

I personally like the altezza style. I'd be very interested as long as it came with a clear signal light. I like our stock tails, but there's not much attention that draws people to the back of the car. I would just like a little more styling to the back end.

those are not altezzas, those are the 97+ supra OEM tails. they changed how they look... that would be why they are in toyota boxes.
