This is a list to see if we can get this group buy going from Chrisc. The sideskirts have been quoted as $150 per set with ~$40 shipping with 15 people. So add your name to the list below so that we can determine whether or not this is feasible.

These are the sideskirts:

might want to edit that. It sorta sounds like shipping is included... It isn't? Right?

The fit all 6gc's. Yes, they are JDM dealer option (knockoff) sides. They are extremely rare. I have been looking for these for along time. They are not available any longer through Toyota and no one, to my knowledge, has them in the states. These are great pieces at a great price. Here is another pic:

guys just so you know, chrisc said with 15 people, its gonna cost 40ea to get them to the states. so depending on where they end up and how far you are from there, i'd expect to add another 10-25 for shipping...now if we can get MORE than 15 people, the initial 40$ shipping price will go down. (its gonna cost chris 600$ to ship all the skirts here, thats why the more people, the better.)
that said im a maybe, depending on how long we have to gather up the $$ wink.gif

The quickest group buy in history! Anyone who was interested in the USDM OEM sides should really consider these babies. Of course, they look better (IMO) and at $190 shipped thats a $160 LESS THAN OEM sides from Toyota World.....

What do they look like without a front kit? Sometimes sideskirts without the rest of the kit looks really bad.

guys i think we're gonna keep this GB open for another week or so..remember, the more people we have, the cheaper the shipping will be.
also i noticed a bit of confusion about price with shipping so ill hook it up again.
if we get 15 people the cost will be:
150 for the skirts
+40 for shipping to USA
+whatever it costs to ship them from me to you.(prolly under 20)
so the average price total will end up being right about 200-210.
now,..if we can get 20 people, the shipping cost to the usa will go down abit for everyone, however, the price of the skirts will be the same.
BTW im not a maybe anymore, i WANT these wink.gif

Ok I'm going to get in contact with ChrisC, I say we have a prime contact instead of flooding Chris with a bunch of emails from all you guys.

Also, I have access to a warehouse with daily UPS service, I MAY be able to be the main receiver to the skirts IF and only I am not held accountable for damage during shipment. I dont particularly like UPS because they are kinda rough with their stuff, I could talk to the driver and he'll let me know if its a good/bad idea to ship these via UPS. I could also see what Fed Ex will cost, I'd prefer them. Anyone else would be a long shot because those are the only 2 services we use.

Any questions/comments feel free to ask.

Shipping will be about ~$60.

well, if there will be new info about shiping I think doGGy will inform me and help to join the list, because I'm fying to France for 4 days and I'm affraid to be late..

I sent an email to Chris, so please everyone hold your questions for now so he doesnt get bombarded. I asked him to post to confirm this GB, so hopefully he'll do that soon.

As for shipping, I said $60 for the shipping from Chris to the central location, and then from that location to your location. Thats why it appears high, it could very well be lower according to the quantity ordered and also where you are located. Obviously if they are shipped to me in NY, MA is close, shipping will be less, and CA will be more, respectively.

Well since we dont have a slot for production from Chris, we're going to leave this GB open at least a week, but probably 2. After I receive a response from Chris and see what his production schedule is like, I'll have more details, but I would estimate 2-3 weeks.

OT: yes, Custom, check other topics, he (Magic) posted about this.

Guys, once you know somthing about international shipping price - let me know, cuz im representing Marchius, so i will let him know. Maybe it would be posibble what Chris sent the pair directly to Lith? Maybe it would be cheaper?

Thanks

romas, the problem for chrisc is that because of the length, the shipping costs on 1 or 2 sets is very high. so he is planning on shipping 15+ sets here to the states all at once.
i think that if you guys covered all the shipping charges, super could send them to you from here... wink.gif

basicly i know about prices and etc. if he shipped it with postal service (not UPS or any other thing) the size matter only it the thing is big in all the ways (height + lenght + wight). If the size is like 1.5 meter + height 40 cm + wight 40 cm, it wount be such a huge box, and the shipping from Japan to Lith with ground mail would cos no more then 80$. And if he ships then to states and then from states to Lith the price would jump dramaticly.... Well, gonna wait and see smile.gif thanks for explaining everything Manny...

Update: Production time will be 1 month. Chris will ship the sideskirts in one carton and then they will be distributed from the one central location. Romas, I asked about your situation, I'll update you when I get a response.

The cost of production is $150 for the pair. However, there will be other costs which will bump the price up. These costs include: import tax (customs), a lump-sum charge (I'll get more info on this), the wire-transfer fee (shouldnt be too much - perhaps $5 per person), and the cost of shipping. The $40 per person for shipping was the port to port fee, depending on where that port is a forwarding service maybe needed, this costs extra. And then the final shipping from the central location to your location.

If you are in the Northeast and would like to pick these up, it'll save you some money, and there need not be worry about shipping damages.

I would like to see a post from Chris C confirming everything including build quality and final pricing. Also, we need to get a firm price on shipping costs from the port to the end users. Super from your posts I assume you are running this group buy or is that still up in the air? Also, what happens if any pieces are damaged in transit?

Dear all

Thanks for all your interest in our products.

Sorry for the late reply. I did receive mails from Supersprynt and replied him already and he'll let you all know the details soon.

But I won't post again on this thread as Supersprynt is the incharge of this GB. I don't want to create too many voice in this thread and this is our usual way of doing a GB with other clubs and bodyshops. So I'll contact Supersprynt in the future about this GB. Hope you all can understand.

And I'll keep an eye in this thread.

Final price on shipping will be difficult for both me and Chris due to the fact that we dont know the final amount of people involved, the weight of the pair of sideskirts. Shipping costs will also vary for each person, I can estimate the weight and size of the package of the sideskirts and then calculate what it would cost to ship to california, and that would be the most expensive it would get.

Romas, sorry it looks like everything will be shipped to the central location.

Ok I took it upon myself to do a UPS estimate on shipping charges. Now, UPS isnt my favorite company but I have a daily pick up, so rates are a little better. So a VERY rough estimate we're looking at about $250 for the sideskirts, all wire transfer fees, import fees & shipping costs.

Also, the way that I see this working, is that I will collect the funds, and then wire them to Chris. He will ship the skirts to me, and I will distribute them to you guys.

That totally depends on when we send Chris the money. I'd like to keep this open another 6 days, and make sure EVERYONE is ok with how this is going to be handled and the price.

A deposit of at least 100 needs to be made but you can pay the entire amount once we have more a handle on what it is.

ok guys, im gonna try and head this GB, so i will try and answer as many of your questions as i possibly can.
we still got another week or two before the money has to come in, as i understand it so far, it will be:
1st payment 100
2nd payment 50+whatever shipping charges are.
i am gonna talk with chrisc see how close to an exact # we can get on shipping costs, its alittle hard to figure because of port fee's, taxes, ect... ill be sure to post everything i get from chris, once i talk with him about it.
lets try and get this list to 20!!!

Thanks for stepping up and handling this Manny. As soon as you get the details worked out, I suggest that we set a final date so that this doesn't languish like the c-one hood GB. Here are some questions that should be addressed:

1) What happens if a skirt is damaged when it gets to us?
2) How long from the time we get the money in to the time that we get the skirts?
3) Do we get to see/approve the prototype before it is duplicated? Or, can Chris C assure us that it will be an exact replica of the JDM pictured?

If you want to get them shipped to Yakima(3.25 hours from Bellingham...I used to go to school there), then you could pick them up from me here. Just an option if there's no-one closer. smile.gif

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.
