Is it ok to just get the short stick and not the whole kit that it comes with. I here from people that you only need the whole kit if your shifter is really messed up and needs to be replaced.

ok here is how it goes:
TWM = 60% shift reduction
TRD= 40% if that

TWM= 160$ SHIPPED *most places*
trd= a whole heck more

TWM= the shifter (metal rod) and thats it
TRD= a whole bunch of other crap you don't need

so the concensus show that

TWM > TRD

TWM is a whole heck of alot better than TRD

TRD shifter from the dealer comes with the TRD knob, total is $170.
I got my TMW for 125. TMW comes with the stick and a sticker. Its good, you can outshift anybody, beat most cars off the line. Stick is very short, can never use your cup holder again.

i was wondering does anybody know how much the stick height is reduced after installing the short shifter? also, do you guys think its smart to get the silver shift knob they are selling on the twm site? 200 for the kit 160 with out the knob.
