I went to install my DG strut tower bar and the object (not sure what it is) in the green circle was in the way. I think I can relocate it to the area where the red circle is by drilling a hole and attaching it with a nut and bolt. Q1: What is this? Q2: Any reason I shouldn't move it to the area with the green circle?

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

looks like thats your turbo pressure sensor and resistor pack. you can relocate them wherever you want, but make sure they are still grounded (attached to the car by a bolt).

You can completely remove that sensor circled green. Your car will run just fine w/o it. You just have to re-route your vacuum lines.

Yes. What's your point? The strut bar wasn't on yet so he would have no idea not to mount it there. HAHA

Not when I bought it but the original owner could have taken it off.

Thanks for the replies. I might post this up on mr2oc.com given the different answers.

jayson does great work

Yeah, my only qualm would be that the swaps that I've seen come out of there always have that same IC piping- which to me looks ugly (it's not even that bad of a route.. it just looks.. ugly.. to me I dunno why)

But other than that, the guy does great swaps- and he's done quite a few of them. THATS worth a lot

yep, thats the ac idel thingy... i wouldnt remove it, i drove my car without it for a few days... if you remove it, the engine would idel too low with ac-on and stall when its its in nutral when you first start driving it in the morning... it can be relocated wherever.... its also what makes that Air leak sound when your ac is on ..

As for ugly piping, jayson's did some beutiful work... ive never heard anyone call his welding and piping ugly... maybe because of the route jgreen choose. mine looks beutiful

and, i think he has done more 3s swaps than anyone else... i walk into that shop and iam surrounded by 3sgtes... there was jgreens car, silver 5th gen, white 7th gen, my car, and i think patric's car was parked outside... 5 of them ... he didnt do patric's swap, but he was doing his clutch for him thou.
