getting a consensus togeather for my Group Sales, ETA late spring early summer Options

Im planning on making the following this summer and need a consensus as to what you guys are interested in, so the ones that are more popular will take precidence when making the molds. please just state in order 1 through 5 which youd like to see made the most to the least (1 being most, 5 being least), also if you would buy or not. no prices have been set but the whole goal is to make them more than reasonable, if they arent I wont even bother. so neglect pricing.

in no particular order:

- USDM taillight covers (similar to gangs jail for JDMs)
- Celica "dragon" emblems
- Toyota "taurus" emblem (some of you may remember these from c.net, they are the toyota emblems with the horns)
- JDM style rear bumper extensions (and if i get lucky i may be able to pull off making the front ones too)

if theres any other small app similar to those listed that youd like to see made please PM me your ideas and ill see what i can do! thanks!

thats not something i personally am capable of making or putting togeather, but i know mike (qatar) was planning on putting that kit togeather after his GT-4 is running. ill keep you guys informed on it.

I think if you can, make us some nice extensions .....I was thinking maybe something kinda like a plain sideskirt even, or a front extension that goes all the way around the front end, or back end. I know theres some guy on here from denmark that has german-made sideskirts that look really smooth......thats what i have in mind but i cant remember his name

i feel ya... im not really sure whats all possable for us to make at this point. my grandparents have been in the mold making business for decades, but oddly enough have never ventured into automotive parts so we're probably going to start small and if all works out move into larger apps... but im trying not to get inhead of myself as i did last time i brought the subject up so we'll see how all these parts go. i want to test the durability of the fiberglass parts before selling and moving into large apps like sideskirts and a front lip. but your ideas are so noted

Thanks K2, your effort is appreciated by all of us No big rush, just take it one step at a time. BTW, let us know about those emblems, i might be interested once theyre made.

looks like we're all set! the 1st prototype for the dragon emblems should be ready for me to test fit in a few weeks, once they're all set we will be moving on to the JDM extensions, then late spring/early summer i will be out at the shop custom making the taillight overlays! keep you guys updated!\

EDIT: also when i am ready to sell anything ill put up the actually buying thread in the buy/sell forum! ill let you know here when i open it up.

I just read Coomers post today about how it doesnt look like the 94-95 clear turn signals are a go.....so is it a possibility that you could make those, or is that not the kind of material your grandparents deal with, and everything?? Just a suggestion, i bet you could make a good profit if you did make them Cmon, i know you wanna!!

PS- Niepas09, i see you got JDM's in your sig......when/where did you get them??

that could be very possable... i just need some1 to send me a stock set of 94-95 turns. what i could do is peel the amber part from the housing, and make a clear version of the amber piece. i could do it, but id add it on to the end of my list, so far its looking like the order is

dragon emblems
JDM rear extensions
then i could do the 94-95 turns at the same time i do the taillight overlays.

EDIT: so if it goes as planned were looking at mid-june to early july for those to be available ill try to do everything ASAP, but like i said i wanna make sure the materials we use work fine and the quality is good, and doing that takes a lil time.

your grandparents' shop is in Hershey, PA right? thats only a hour or less from me, so I'm willing if you can't find anyone else.

also, I had another idea for something you could make. those red lights at the bottom of the doors. different colors? clear mb? I'm interested in blue, I dunno about everyone else.

kool the shop itself is actually in fleetwood PA but thats right in the hershey/philly/reading area...

EDIT, that doorpiece is a good idea too... ill add that to my list of things to look into.

Do those lights actually light up on your car? They don't on mine and there aren't even any bulbs behind there.

i think they are reflectors, so it may not be possable but its worth looking into

yours don't light up? mine definetly light up, and I can see the bulb in one of them cause the lense is cracked.

This is cool, we could get decent ammounts of goodies made for us by us I like the idea of the clear door light covers, the JDM extensions, and clear 94-5 turn signals, and the emblems. Its all cool little stuff that would really accent our cars, and that aftermarket companies would never think of making for us.

the emblems are in the works as we speak and ya, its the little accent things that really bring a car togeather, they may not be what stand out to someone when they glance at a car, but they give a fully completed feel to it, then again, sometimes it is the little things that stand out and people remember

Make sure the emblums can be bent to fit the body contours. Also, PLEASE make the extensions fit the coupe also. I would think they would be no different than a Hatch. The coupe is just wider, the body contours are about the same.

Also, you ever think of making CF or aluminum door sills? You know make um say 'Celica' or even have a dragon on em.

HAHA yea, definatly not getting ahead of ourselves, but its cool cuz whenever i need new ideas i can always come back to this thread.

also there was already a GB for some diamond plated floor mats charlie was involved, ask him for the info on them.

as far as i know things are progressing, i talked to my grandparents last weekend and sent them the dragon emblem diagram along with the dimensions so they said they would get on it as soon as they have time and said they would have a test product for me in 1-3 weeks so its progessing ill keep you updated.

yes yes i know about the emblems needing to be slightly contoured, the first set they send me i will heat up and contour and send back so he can adjust the mold.

That's probably the best way to do it. I really hope that you can find someone with a coupe to help with making some of those rear bumper extensions for us coupe owners, because I really want some of those!
