When a GT's gas light comes on, how many more miles until it is empty?

I see. Well. It's 23 miles back to my town and the light came on 3/4 of the way to the college...so...I guess I can just run in town HERE and fill it up since it probably won't make it back to Tiffin.

Its at least 60 if you drive conservatively. The harder you drive, the quicker the gas light brightens up fully. I would like to know how many gallons are actually left when it comes on tho.

okay, when my light kicks on i know that i have a 3 gallon reserve so if i drive regular i can get around 78 extra miles. Because with my heavy driving which in a auto isn't to heavy i get around 26 mpg.

I'd guess around 30, but thats just a guess.

I'm talking about when the light is staying on, not doing its [fade in] fade out thing.

yea that sounds about right, when its fully lit i've put gas in and it was 1.5 gallons left in tank so between 30-35.

See the quarter tank marks? My needle got a full quarter tank below the E line- and wasn't beeping at me yet- I drove it home from LA from E (to Orange County) so it's at least 70 miles.
