I was responding to Synx saying "screw politics." I didn't say anything about Bush nor address any issues from a consistently democratic/republican point of view.
There isn't the slightest contention in my post that suggested a political alignment.

And saying Bush got the most votes is a very misleading fact. It's spinformation. It's partisan hackery. Like whoa, Bush got more votes then Lincoln, it must be because he's the best president ever.

I know some people do take political discussions too seriously, but it's no reason to censure interesting conversation. Albeit 60% of it is completely uninteresting spouting of partisan facts and dogma (ugh).

Okay, I agree with this in a sense. I read the political posts because I am interested. But there is A LOT of immaturity and "I'm right, you're wrong" attitudes. I could understand if everyone discussed things on a mature level instead of constantly bitching at each other for personal opinions. If things were not like this, I definitely would not have said to get rid of such things. But it seems each thread that pertains to politics always ends up with bickering and conflicts.

not attacking you, people are mistaken what arguing is. Arguing is a good thing and I personally dont attack people when I argue, i believe theres a right and a wrong way to do it.

The reason it appears to be one of the biggest problems along with religion is because of the passion that people have in their beliefs. Mainly due to the fact that you were brought up by people thinking a certain way and instead of allowing you (as a people) to come up with your own ideas and beliefs.

Thats how I was brought up, my parents said here are the different thoughts and theories and beliefs, figure it out for urself. And I did, and then on top of that, you never close the book on it. U never say, this is what I am forever. No things change, people change, so sometimes your beliefs have to change.

Heh, dont flatter yourself. That wasnt exploding, if it was in caps with exclamation points then maybe exploding. But I assure you I was quite calm when I wrote that. Also, immaturity has nothing to do with exploding, immaturity is calling people names and so wrapped up in your opinion you arent open to new ones.

As for political posts being useless, thats garbage. I could say the same about all OT posts, what their use except to enlighten, entertain and educate? I'm tired of ppl getting all pissy over this. Get over it. You come into OT and you see a political thread, stay out. Who says you gotta click on it, nobody. You do it because you wanna see, and then you get in here and b!tch and moan.

In fact, these types of threads are probably the most useful out of any OT posts because they effect everyone in this country. But wait maybe we should not mention politics because some people dont like arguing. This is the same wrong thinking as parents who dont want sex education in schools because they think kids are going to have sex if you mention the word or tell them what condoms do. How dare you education children of the responsibilities of something they ALL will do, no let them find out for themselves and screw up their lives doing it.

Ya since we have more people living in the United States then ever before as well. He also won the election the first time due to his "connections" with his brother in Florida. On top of that the money the people running office are allowed to accumulate is a great deal of money more then before.
