Why are guys only out to get some? Options

Every guy i meet (usually between the ages of 19-23) basically wants to in the near future hook up or nothing at all. And the nice guys i do meet that are looking to possibly start something serious are usually someone that im not attracted to (either phsyically or some other reason)

I dont understand - Obviously you can sit here and say im meeting the wrong kind of guys - yeah i probably should stop meeting them around cars :-P
but even if i meet them otherwise ---its like they wont even stay as a friend they just wanna hook up and be done.

I dont know but im tired of it - 80 percent of guys between 19-23 seem to be all the same!!

i also have F'd up in the past and had the nice guy but took advantage of the situation and he ended up ditching me for another girl haha actually on the weekend that i was gonna tell him i liked him - were good friends now and i actually am gonna go see him in arizona soon but nothing is there anymore cuz of that situation-

#2 - the things that define a person are small things. Like does he hold doors open for strangers? Is he considerate for people he doesnt know as well as his family? You have to watch the behavior of a guy its so easy to figure ppl out if you kno what to look for.

If you wana meet people (guys) that are not just interested in a single hookup but the real thing, you have to go/hang out where we do, that poses a problem because we generaly dont go out farther then a computer store, friends house, or school. (not that it makes us nerdy but rather dont wana hang out with ourselfes for too long and are to shy to just fire up a conv. with a strager, exspesualy a good looking one) something me an my friends do every once and a wile is go out bowling at 12am-6am, when the ally is deserted except those who dont wana get lost in the crowd, hense us shy guys can be ourselfes.

I always beleived the saying "Nice guys finish last" because wile other guys are buisy playin the feild, where living off the "chance" factor hoping our dream girl wil come to us.

Side note: What I dont understand is why a$$ holes allways get the girl, I always see beutiful girls hangin with total (explitive deleted,) I always find myself thinking how good i would treat her if she was with me, how i would treat every moment together as if it was our last. i dont know why she puts up with it to be with a guy that looks good but will never be able to support themselfes in life. With this in mind, it becomes clear why there are so many demestic disterbances where the guy beats his wife to death. the girl tries to drop the "was good looking" loser and he wont have it.

But I think you may be right about sounding a little bit shallow, where the guys must have a certain color hair and eyes, can't be too buff, only would ever go to a computer store to buy blank cd's, must be mechanically inclined and so on.

I think that true happiness and the right person for you will come when you can let go of the physical standards one must meet in order to date you. Difference makes the world go round, so why not try broadening your view a little bit and finding someone whose life may be diffferent from yours, but still able to have a connection somewhere? I think thats what the guy who will make you happy will do for you. He might not know a thing about Celicas, or even cars for that matter, but if he's interested in you, chances are he'd be interested in learning a bit about your hobbies.

I think your trying to say that you want someone that you can incorperate into your every day things/hobbies. I think yotas idea is very good because if you find someone that is exactly like you or close to it, you will get very board very fast.

You do sould kinda shollow (to be truthful) but i dont think that its just that, i think its more like your worried about finding someone that you would be imbaresed to hang out with, but more importantly i think your affraid of change, your scared to explore new things.

Nah..... it's not anything to be scared of.... Who cares if a person isn't interested in you.... there's gotta be someone out there for us.... but if we sit around and hope chance will bring them to us then life will be lonely for quite a while.... I got lucky a while back and met my ex over counterstrike (crazy **** actually).... We lived together for a while then got engaged.... she went back home for a month to visit and then dropped me like a bad habit. She wasn't for me I guess and now I'm back on the market.... It's not easy but I'm sure I'll meet someone.... but the shyness doesn't help.... I'm getting over that though..... atleast I'm not afraid of rejection anymore though
