autozone wanted $65 for a drop in kn air filter. is there anywhere else that sells them for cheaper? or are there any other performance air filters that are cheaper and do just as good?

all i saw was the filter for the gt only. is that the same filter?

EDIT: also, if i get the kn cone filter, do i have to relocate the O2 sensor or anything? do i need an adaptor? would i just have to take out hte box and put on the filter or is there custom work needed?

seriously i think a drop in k&N filter is a waste of money, someone gave me mine, and it didn't notice any performace gain. There was an article on testing drop-in filters, and there wasn't any performace gain with a K&N, and none, even if no filter was present on the dyno. If you really want to get more air to the engine then get a cold-air intake.

exxtractor, so you didnt notice any gains? is there anything at all i can do for under $100 that would get me some gains? i really need some high end power. also, what do i have to do to put a cone filter on the stock plastic tubing?

build yourself a cai. or buy a civic one off ebay. still pretty minimal gains but better than a drop-in

Um, i don't know where you got that article from. But drop-in compared to short ram intakes. There is always an ok hp gain (listen, you're paying 65 bucks, what do ya expect) in both, but no difference between the two. CAI is different, everyone notices that. But you can't say it's a waste of money and not back it up. Sorry, bad mood, have a supendous day.

I'm sure I read the article, I will try over the next few days to find the article online and post a link.
