yup everythings there. over 2,500 of stuff
i know wht every1's goin to say: rockford sucks! but it really dosent as much as you ppl think, and thats wht i had to work with.

NOW im trying to build out my trunk and iwas thinking this:
1) 1'' MDF on bottom to screw everything on too
2) normal rectangualr box
3)build amp rack
4) screw everything else down
5) place carpeted wood on top so just subs and 1 amp showing

i want it to turn out like this: user posted image

BUT i open my trunk and it looks like this:

so what i was thinking was that i could put the subs vertically instead of horizontally and put it in the spare tire hole (causei think a box will fit in the hole). then place the amp on the left side. what do you guys think? sorry long post

nah go sideways.....just put ply wood over the hole...don't bolt anything to your box..or bolt your box for that matter i heard its bad....and you'd defenitly have to put the strut bar under the top piece.....

i would go with a fiberglass set up..you wasted 2500 on parts might as well make them look good....fiberglass takes alot of hours but its really nice at the end

First off, Rockford is nice. I have rockford, and I think, plus bout 10 others think its better then, some old co-works of mine. They had from infinity / alipine, and cant think the other.

Other then that, nice set-up. Im also working a kenwood deck and rock-ford speakers and subs an amp, and love it, I think you made an great choice.

mmmmmm XXX, my Tempest is only gettin 150rms and its damn loud in the Celica... id look into the Tempest, cheap and very efficient, meaning you dont need alot of power to go loud, same as the Brahma smile.gif

well first i meant wasted as in USED/SPENT the money

second but in all true you only spent 800-1000 bucks
would you really have spend the 2500 for all that crap..
best buy sells all that stuff really over priced..so it isnt worth it

and i say crap cuz RF isnt bad but when you can get something better what do you call it...RF nowadays likes to jack up the peak power output number when really their amp dont do that much rms...RF in the early 90s was hott stuff they make great products and not just lack..

if your going to show off your car or want a really good look then i was invest some time in fiberglass...its not as hard as you may think...time is what it takes..if you just want a simple clean look then carpted or vinyl cover mdf will do...

Scarrell: yeah that XXX is mighty fine...thinking a 15 and a hifonices brutus 1500d will do me good...Brahma is all so a good sub

Gilbert: yes rockford went down BUT u said "RF nowadays likes to jack up the peak power output number when really their amp dont do that much rms"
completeley not true

RF actually is the only company i know of that tests each amp and prints out the results and puts it in the box. b/c if u didnt know u cannot make each amp exactly the same. the paper goes down to rell u TRue max, RMS, THD. then even darte it was made, the person who tested, etc.

yea i actually wanted a celica so i found this site, then my dad went and bought a teg and said here u go u owe me 4G's. oh well. i stil love this site

look example....

Max power: 900W @ 2 ohms

150W RMS (continuous) x 1 @ 4 ohms

300W RMS (continuous) x 1 @ 2 ohms

every brand tells you the RMS out put..but what i meant was this say stupid crap like ....
they print MAX POWER 900W all big on the box and then the real RMS all small
not saying RF is total crap cuz you get good deals and i would take that if i worked there no question about it...but RF used to be know for getting a great bang for your buck..

using the JL 1000/1 was a bad example tongue.gif, the 1000/1 puts out a 1000rms at any ohm. but other than that, yeah its marketing, when kids see a sub/speaker/amp say "1000 WATTS MAX!!!!" they like that, but what you want to look for is the rms. like my Tempest and my RF amp(basically free) im only giving the sub 150rms out of its 650rms rating, being that the sub is very sufficient, its extremely loud with that amount off power to it. although now i have to tighten the bumper and crap. which i dont like at all. id Definately recommed the Adire Audio Tempest in a Celica. its unbelievabely smooth and the sound quality for a 15" is totally amazing, especially with only 150rms to it. and for less than $200 shipped you wont find a better 15" in its range.
