Ok...here's my situation...im lookin to get a custom exhaust for my car....i dont want anything rice at all, i jsut want a nice growl...my dilema is that at the moment i have a 7afe and prob will have till this comming summer at which time i am planning on swapping in a 5sfe and then turboing it the following summer....now my question is what should i do for the exhaust....some people have told me just 2.5 and ill be fine for the 7afe...but i didn't know if that would go good for the 5sfe and the 5sfte also....if you have any experience with this i would really appreciate it....thanks alot....

many people will probably ask you why you'd want to swap in a 5sfe into an ST when u could drop in a 3sgte.

I'm sure you've heard this already but you would be better off simply turbo'ing your existing 7afe. If its high miles give it a rebuild, maybe even with some internals, and you'll be all set. Some would say the 7afe is better suited to boost than the 5sfe, it even came stock as a turbo engine in australia for a short period.
As for exhaust, you may want to wait until you have your swap if you intend to do that. like Kwanza said, plan one thing at a time .. |
