Racism part 2 Options

Guys, I noticed you locked the subject, and maybe it needs to be discussed. I think you should let people discuss it here, just keep it clean and don't point anybody out. Theres no need for name calling or anything like that. I just want to post my 2 cents about it. I'm older then most of the people on here, so I just want to share my thoughts. Well, I have read some racist statements that have been deleted from these post recently. Unfortuneatly there are some people out there still like that. Being half hawaiian/spanish I get subject to it here and there, but its very minor plus I'm not a small guy whos going to let you bash me:D . Growing up around cars all my life, and I do attend most of the big car shows in Cali and here, I am surprised to see this subject in a forum about cars. Theres all kinds of good knowlegeable people here from varied ethnic backgrounds and countries. Go to any import show and be racist, and see if you walk out of there alive. You'll get your butt kicked by somebody your own race. So theres no place for any sort of racism here on these boards. Its time for people to grow up and concentrate on what this forum is about....celicas. Sooner or later were all going to meet up at a meet or something. So don't let your past come and haunt you. I got to agree with John, because racism goes both ways, I've heard people use the race card for many things.I work with a bunch of guys from all races. I like them all, and I don't think I'm above anybody. You won't catch me bashing anybody, or making racist/religious comments on this site. Remember the universal karmaic law. What comes around goes around. It might not happen now, but it will happen and at the time when you can't afford it to happen. So lets all get along and get back to the celicas, because I got some seriously wicked projects in the works! photos soon!

I hardly half to deal with rascism. Only about two major events. Nobody thinks I'm Mexican. Everyone usually goes for Italian, Greek, or something. But some of you spaz's think i'm Jewish lol. But whatever.

I think anyone who gets offended is really ignorant to what's going on in the world, there's racism everywhere, so are people who get offended going to go on a crusade now to stop it? Racism isn't going to end anytime in the near future, and as long as we are human it's going to be around for quite some time. I'm dominican & one thing that's said about us is that we don't wear socks (sometimes true), & I get cracked on a lot by my friends for it & all I do is lift up my pants slightly & tell them “how they like them apples” & just continue with what I was doing, we all laugh, they apologize & that's the end of it. They rarely bring it up anymore because they've noticed that I've grown "tolerant" to it, same thing with African Americans & the N word, it was used on them & they hated it & what happens, they use it themselves on themselves & now it’s practically used everyday & said to any & almost every race as a form of greeting & recognition. It’s understandable if some people are sensitive to the subject, but you got to grow tolerant to the matter cause there will be people who when they see you getting upset over it, they’ll attack you about it just to aggravate you. Just my 0.2¢ & sorry if no one can understand because I just woke up so blah.

anyway im yugoslavian/australian and basicly there is always stupid comments made by freinds or wut ever but its not like i care coz we r freinds, just likein this site and if something is said, if your not racist then u should be above the comment made anyway.

I know when a lot of you say "that's so gay," you don't mean to bash gays. You just mean that's lame. Or dumb. But I think as long as you can say something like "That honda is so gay!" I can say, "Look at the dumb honda! I bet some ****** or wetback drives it."

I'll be interested to hear your opinions as to how gay bashing and racism are different. Cuz I feel they are the same.

agreed 100% if you think you can judge someone you dont know and write them off for whatever reason YOu end up being the lesser person. Where is the integrity in ignorance?

One would think that with a site like this, someone would only be judged by what kind of car they drive..............(yall know that there are some out there that are judgemetal against celicas, and they want to go out to a celica site and try bashing the users, etc.) But for crying out loud, why whine over someone else calling you out by race, (if they did or didnt), you, we all deal with enough bs, and now your gonna whine, and of all places on a forum......you couldve at least confronted the person one on one, by emailing them or something; instead you look to find support in your cause to either bring them down, or to make yourself look better, only making you look worst than what you think they do.....so here is some future advice..........be an adult, on adult oriented sites.........if not go to pokemon.com, and whine over there, theyll listen....trust me.............oh and peace
