so i got my alarm installed. when the parking lights or headlights are not on, and i unarm/arm my alarm, the lights flash as supposed to. when my alarm goes off, the lights flash also.
BUT when my headlights are turned on (like when u keep ur headlights switched on and you remove your key and exit the car, they turn off) and i arm or disarm my car, the lights do not flash; same as when the alarm goes off so what i want to know is what the installers did wrong exactly and how to correct it because it makes more sense for the lights to flash @ night (when the headlights are on) rather than in daylight (when they are on the off position) if someone could respond by tomorrow morning id be very grateful, thanks |

it sounds like its just a matter of where you placed the connections...to know how to fix the problem .. would have to see his work... but remeber if your not happy just take it back... and tell them what you want....

my keyless entry that i installed myself does this as well, it never really bothered me tho. when you leave your lights on with the ignition off and open the door, it probably opens the ground for you parking lights. during the day when i cant see the lights, or if i leave my headlights switched on at night, i usually just listen to make sure my doors got locked.

get out a mulimeter and measure the volts that come out from the parking lights wire on your alarm.
is it 12 volts? or is it a negative trigger? |
