I'm looking at buying a console now that they're cheaper, but I can't decide PS-2 and X-BOX. There is a deciding factor. These 2 racing games that are coming out. Forza is coming out for X-BOX and as you all know GT4 for PS-2.

Which should I get based on these games?
Do you guys think Forza might be as good as GT4?

Forza

Gran Turismo 4

If you want a n4s underground 2 that seems to be a better racing simulator then go Forza & for the ultimate in simulation...GT4. Honestly I think the GT series has more experience in making better racing games than "microsoft", all I see in Forza is microsoft looking at the trends & making themselfs a product so they can get some cash too while the markets hot.

Gran Turismo is about the best racing game ever made. you can play 3 while you wait for 4.

if you are into rally, then rallysport is really good on the xbox. if you want eyecandy, project gotham2 is great for that.

the consoles are so cheap now, that you can buy a ps2 and an xbox for the price of one when it was released.

Werd, I keep looking at Forza & see is as a very generic racing game.

If you're talking just consoles... the xbox is the better IMO. But GT4 is gonna be HOT...

If you buy Xbox, get PGR2. Pretty good game though the "car class" format is annoying. Lots of redeeming characteristics though (Nurburgring! [which will be in GT4], four player Porsche Cayenne races).

Be careful with GT4 though. They've had to delay the crap out of it. They took out online mode to make X-mas, then didn't make X-mas. Though I would never say a bad thing about Polyphony, I'm dubious of the next game.

On the plus side, car companies aren't signing exclusive car licenses anymore, so GT4 won't be missing so many automakers (M5!!!).
