the MR2 turbo uses the 2nd & 3rd gen 3sgte's, in 88 the MR2 uses the 4agze.

He said MR2 turbos. Since there were no MR2 Turbos in 88 We can assume he's talking about 90-99. If he would have said "Same motor as the MR2." and left out "turbo" then he'd be wrong.

ST165 = 4th Gen Celica alltrac = 1st Gen 3S-GTE
ST185 = 5th Gen Celica alltrac = 2st Gen 3S-GTE
ST205 = 6th Gen Celica GT-Four = 3rd Gen 3S-GTE
ST215 = Newer Toyota Caldina = 4th Gen 3S-GTE
SW20 = MK2 MR2 Turbo = 2nd Gen 3S-GTE (JDM 95-99 = 3rd Gen 3S-GTE)
AW11 = MKI MR2 S/C = 1st? Gen 4A-GZE
AW11 = MKI MR2 N/A = 1st? Gen 4A-GE

Huh? What are you talking bout? As soon as he said "same motor as MR2 turbos" he's incorrect because he's got the 1st Gen 3sgte and the MR2 Turbo(s) use the 2nd and 3rd Gen. I thought I said this already.

well it is the same motor to the layman. 3S-GTE. So he's not entirely wrong.

Well good thing he has a pic of the engine cuz if he said that I'd tend to think he has a swap when he says "same engine" i mean its 20hp less. When selling something you gotta be specific.
