Bush and all his supporters, im sorry to say it are retarded. He has got to be the dumbest president on earth. dumb f* cker.
http://aolsvc.news.aol.com/news/article.ad...112005909990004 WASHINGTON (Jan. 12) - The search for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq has quietly concluded without any evidence of the banned weapons that President Bush cited as justification for going to war, the White House said Wednesday. The Iraq Survey Group, made up of some 1,200 military and intelligence specialists and support staff, spent nearly two years searching military installations, factories and laboratories whose equipment and products might be converted quickly to making weapons. White House press secretary Scott McClellan said there no longer is an active search for weapons. ''There may be a couple, a few people, that are focused on that'' but that it has largely concluded, he said. ''If they have any reports of (weapons of mass destruction) obviously they'll continue to follow up on those reports,'' McClellan said. ''A lot of their mission is focused elsewhere now.'' Chief U.S. weapons hunter Charles Duelfer is to deliver his final report on the search next month. ''It's not going to fundamentally alter the findings of his earlier report,'' McClellan said, referring to preliminary findings from last September. Duelfer reported then that Saddam Hussein not only had no weapons of mass destruction and had not made any since 1991, but that he had no capability of making any either. Bush unapologetically defended his decision to invade Iraq. Bush has appointed a panel to investigate why the intelligence about Iraq's weapons was wrong. 01-12-05 1157EST This post has been edited by Sh0gunkid8721: Jan 12, 2005 - 1:55 PM -------------------- Note to new members. Well its kinda weird to me how i believe last week he was gonna ask for XXX billion dollars for this war but yet he will only give 35 million dollars to the people of a natural disaster. And it took him what? 5 days to come out and speak about the disaster? I have recently been talking to someone who went to iraq and is done with his 4 years and hes told me first hand how bush is a retard and some of the things we dont hear about. I dont think Kerry would have been the BEST president but given the choice i think he was the better canidate
BRING CLINTON BACK! like ive said before we are all 24,000 dollars in debt to the US and if our parents are over 40 then we have to take on their 24,000 too! lucky me! thanks BUSH! We took action in Afghanistan, nobody is saying that was wrong, nobody is saying that shouldnt have been done. What Bush did was take advantage of the situation and going in on Hussein "while we're over there." It took focus off the failure in Afghanistan and ends up being an even bigger failure. Secondly, we're not going to be taken over. This is a ludicrous statement. First we're the most powerful nation hands down, theres nobody going to come in and invade us. If we stayed neutral and outta **** that doesnt concern us then perhaps we'd be hated a little less. However we stay neutral and countries bitch and moan bout their own problems. Its a double edged sword and being the most powerful nation sometimes you gotta take matters into your own hands. No communist is going to come in here and take over, theres going to be no coup d'tea (sp). Lastly, whats the problem your talking about? Terrorism? Yeah its at an alltime high and you think anything we did the last 5 yrs has done anything but make it worse? I'm happy Hussein is outta power, but theres no evidence he was funding terrorists, theres no evidence of any weapons, no evidence of anything but a crappy dictatorship. Now how long are we going to be stuck cleaning up our own mess in Iraq spending billions of dollars on re-building a country we destroyed instead of spending billions maybe helping the homeless or helping the starving people or how bout spitting up a lil more than 35 million (after 12 million was laughed at). Think about it 35million is horsesh!t compared to the billions in damage. So now we have a failure in Iraq, failure in Afghanistan, more people hating us than ever, a lunatic still running around in Afghanistan, a lunatic with NUKES in North Korea who told is straight out NO im not going to stop playing with them. Sorry to think that Bush has his priorities screwed up. I think these are the darkest days of American history and it doesnt look like its going to get better anytime soon. George W. Bush makes me sick. -------------------- |

I don't want to add fuel to the flames here. So I'm not going to blame any one. I just feel that American's feel like they have the responcibility to be the worlds police. Which I completely disagree with, I feel we should not be the only who intervene. Like in the Iraq war, USA forces where the majority of the troups in action. Its scary how our intellegence forces did not detect how korea was making nuclear weapons, where as our intellegence detected imaginary weapons in Iraq. Pretty much, Bush accidently opened a can of worms, no one is happy about it, and its not gonna get better untill he focuses, get objectives straight ,and work hard to get us out of it. We are just gonna have to tough it out, and worry about korea later.

You also heard that there were weapons of mass destruction in iraq also didnt you... Did you believe that one in the same way you believe what the news tells you? This has all been a fight for oil. Who is in charge of afghanistan now?? Some vice president of some major oil company bush use to work for before he was president... A pipeline deal stopped by clinton is now back on track since then... What is happening to iraq oil now? Isnt that going almost all to america? Bush goes after pushovers. He knows he wont be able to invade north korea like he did afghanistan and iraq. He would have alot more trouble there. I can assure you that the rest of the world is against america on its actions in the middle east... There is not one arab country except israel that wishes they had a nuke with america written all over it right now. What i never understood was how come bush turned on france the way he did when they didnt support the war... So much for thanking a country for helping america win the war for independance all those centuries ago. That really was a low blow to other countries of the world. |

Mmmm, there are about 20 topic on Bush/War/Iraq/WMD/Kerry. All of these arguements have already been made, and I'm kind of sick of it. People will not change their oppinions on this subject. What I would like to see is someone who is middle of the road and can compliment and criticize both sides. Extreme polarization in politics is the greatest evil facing this country right now.

You know, i kinda feel sorry for Sadaam. He kept his nose clean after the first war; disassembled all his weapons programs to comply with what everyone wanted; etc.
Then, he refuses UN inspectors because it's a violation of his country's soveirgnty. THEN this cowboy brings the entire US army to come and overthrow him and destroy his country. Now, was he a bad man? Yes. Should he have been taken out 14 years ago? Hellz yes. But still- Bush must have been going: WE WILL DESTROY WMDS IN IRAQ UNLESS HE SHOWS PROOF THAT THEY ARE BEING DISMANTLED and Sadaam was going: What is this!??! I DONT HAVE ANY TO DISMANTLE!? HELLO?? IS THIS LINE OPEN??? ANYONE!!??! NO WMDS! Here here! Inspectors! I'll let you in anywhere! There see? no we- OMG HE'S INVADING |

Ah, sarcasm. I had a feeling but I wasnt sure. He got re-elected because he managed to pull every religous person from the depths of society who normally dont vote into the voting booths. If you noticed which states were red, they were southern and midwest.

Troughout history, the southern and widwest states have always supported the cannidate that better related to themself. Bush has the image of a working man who is religious and traditional, just like most of the people in the southern and midwest states. My choice for the dem. candidate if I could have voted (im republican, and was 17) would have been Wesley Clark, or Dean (dean was a good candidate, but simply had his image destroied by that scream; shows how important image is in an election). Both of these candidates seemed to have the best intent for the counrty, where both bush and kerry, imo, did/do not. |

Well... it's a bit more complicated than that. People of faith tend to be a bit more conservative. Bush didn't push religion as much as his conservative nature. (Abortion is a key fact here) He didn't say 'god will smite thee' he put his opinions up as morally wrong. It's all conservative Vs. liberal these days. the fact that most religious people are conservative really is just an afterthought. |

Actually I think the major issue here wasn't that people were religious and voted for Bush, it was that people WISHED they were religious, WISHED for those kind of values etc... it's a major social driver in america- this WISH to be religious. I think it's friggin nuts.

do people just post political post so they can yell at other people?
I understand if someone wants to discuss a political topic. which is cool, but just posting a rant so you can yell at people just gets people angry for no reason, and ruins the community This post has been edited by coustoe: Jan 14, 2005 - 2:03 PM |

QUOTE and your ignorance is flawed, the 'red" areas benefit from our socialist programs just as much as the blue areas- do you know how much this country spends subsidizing farmers? lol well first of all i never said "farmers" because not all ppl that do not live in large cities are "farmers" actually the majority of the ppl that live outside of large cities are not "farmers"....and secondly Main Entry: ig·no·rance Pronunciation: 'ig-n(&-)r&n(t)s Function: noun : the state or fact of being ignorant ig·no·rant Pronunciation: 'ig-n(&-)r&nt Function: adjective 1 a : destitute of knowledge or education <an ignorant society>; also : lacking knowledge or comprehension of the thing specified <parents ignorant of modern mathematics> b : resulting from or showing lack of knowledge or intelligence <ignorant errors> 2 : UNAWARE, UNINFORMED - ig·no·rant·ly adverb - ig·no·rant·ness noun synonyms IGNORANT, ILLITERATE, UNLETTERED, UNTUTORED, UNLEARNED mean not having knowledge. IGNORANT may imply a general condition or it may apply to lack of knowledge or awareness of a particular thing <an ignorant fool> <ignorant of nuclear physics>. ILLITERATE applies to either an absolute or a relative inability to read and write <much of the population is still illiterate>. UNLETTERED implies ignorance of the knowledge gained by reading <an allusion meaningless to the unlettered>. UNTUTORED may imply lack of schooling in the arts and ways of civilization <strange monuments built by an untutored people>. UNLEARNED suggests ignorance of advanced subjects <poetry not for academics but for the unlearned masses>. as for my 'ignorance' i have never known ignorance to be "flawed," logic perhaps would be the more coherent the word ... don't use a gun if you don't understand it..... ![]() ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by carb0n_f1b3r: Jan 14, 2005 - 4:48 PM -------------------- WAR HAS NEVER SOLVED ANYTHING...EXCEPT FOR THE ENDING OF COMMUNISM, FASCISM, NAZISM, AND SLAVERY.

You fail to mention that although the big cities are full of welfare and poverty, they are also where the educated people in this country go to work. Example: Chicago, New York, San Francisco, L.A. In my personal experience, the ignorant and uneducated stay in rural areas while their educated peers migrate to more populous, thriving areas. It is a well-known fact that educated people (people with college degrees) overwhelmingly vote democrat. Also, the rural south and midwest are full of poverty (e.g. the Appalachian states) which benefit from social programs but because of their self-rhighteousness voted for Bush. Drive through rural Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Tennesse and it's just as scary as driving through the slums of a big city. Oh well, they're only hurting themselves. Bush won the election on one issue and one issue only: gay marriage. Everyone would rather fight a pointless war than have to put up with that crap.
