> Celica going to the Body Shop, To get a makeover!

After spending most of the day planning and deciding on what to do with the Celica, we've finally came to a clean decision (Me and Body Shop person). Though the car won't hit the shop for another 2 weeks, the basic design and idea of the car is done. Trying to keep what i've already accomplished in the picture, like 18" GunMetal Rims and Black Interior here's what we are going to do with Project Celica STZ

- Blue Metallic Paint
- OEM Carbon Fiber Hood
- Custom Carbon Fiber Trunk Hatch
- 1.75" Intrax Lowering Springs
- 5th Gen. Celica Mirrors
- S2000 Taillight Conversion (may be subject to void biggrin.gif)
- Front Blitz Bumper
- Rear Veilside Bumper
- Body Kit Blending

I was originally going to go RSX Tails (as I already ordered them *oops!*), but the curve on them doesn't fit our Celica's rear, so it will look real ghey unless I dish out more $$ to get them installed, and thats too much hassle. S2000 would be much more ideal and cost effective in the long run. Everything else I pretty much have sitting in the garage waiting to get put on! Any ideas/suggestions?

I was thinking of doing that but changed my mind. I think you should leave the CF trunk to the coupes. But hey, whatever turns you on! biggrin.gif

I always wanted the Solara tails molded in my Celica. Look kinda stock, but not to me.

dude, don't do the hatch, i dunno, i've invisioned it, and i don't think it would look good. better to do like the license panel in between the tails, incorporate that, just MO. smile.gif

Your car is gonna be awesome when it comes out. biggrin.gif If it were my car I'd save the money you'd spend on the carbon fiber hatch lid and put it towards other stuff for the car, but that's just me. It'd be cool and unique to do it though.

Regardless, I can't wait to see it! biggrin.gif

I have thought about that with the newer models lights and also on the corrolas previous and current gens tails. Just not ballsy enough to speak up, mainly because these guys are about to laugh at me... frown.gif

or a cop..

the new chevy impalas use those same taillights. i don't know about anyone else but pretty much every bigger town that i have been to uses those cars as police cars.

the first time i saw a new impala it was a cop car and it was at night. i saw the taillights and was like WTF?!?!?!!? then i saw the lights on top and was like damn i'd like to see somebody try to run from him.. then i got closer and noticed the chevy emblem on the back...

the impala tails are similar, but are by no means the exact same things... basically any car person would be able to tell a difference. if you went to a show im sure youd get more people saying "awsome skyline conversion" than "wow, he did an impala conversion."
