what transmission are you using?
if you're using the E153 then you can use the mr2 clutch
If you're using the S54 , then you have to use the 5sfe tranny.

if you are using a GT tranny, then you will have to have a custom clutch kit made.

5sfe:
clutch
throwout bearing
alignment tool

3sgte:
pressure plate
flywheel

make sure you look at the TQ specs of any new clutch you have, because most 5sfe clutches will not be able to hold all that power for long. I called Spec and they are making me a custom stage2 3sgte clutch with the splines to fit my 5sfe tranny.

Oh
I am thinking of using a MR2 tranny(LSD) since the tranny comes with the engine.
But I was told that if I use that tranny to my car i won't be take advantage of the LSD function so i was told to sell it and just use the GT tranny.
Is that right?
and if I use the MR2 tranny what clutch should I get?

No offense but you really need to do more research before you buy anything else. The statement above is false. GT trannies do not have LSD unless it is an aftermarket one. If you bought a 3rd gen MR2T clip, the tranny that comes with that has LSD. You definitely want to use that rather than the GT tranny. The only reason you wouldn't use a MR2T tranny is cost.

P.S. Please post a pic of your motor and tranny. Or have you not bought it yet?

I have an idea. If you don't know what you are talking about, dont post without a disclaimer. Propogating misinformation on the board is a bad thing. The last line of your post is really bad. First, it doesn't make sense because the S54 IS the 5sfe tranny. If you meant "5sfe clutch" then you should read Lagos' post.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Yeah man, that's what i meant.
Of course I know that the GT tranny doesn't have the LSD.
ButI asked that question because I was told by someone that my celica can't take advantage of the LSD function from MR2 tranny.

So if I use that tranny, can i just get the MR2 turbo clutch for my car?
I already bought the engine(3rd gen) with LSD tranny.
