Personally I don't like the look of that stang(gogo pontiac with two nostrils). On the other hand, I dislike the bump on the eclipses's hood. Sure i've driven in it...I just don't like it. If i had to pick between the two it will most likely be the eclipse.

id say get the eclipse v6 mustangs suck..they are slow not if it were the gt version id say go for it

nothin really just a few minor mods..e exhaust , suspension, nothing that really makes it alot better or anything i mean a GT will beat a stage 1 v6 roush and the roush costs more

its rousch engineered, i beg to differ, i bet you that car could take any stock GT, given the drivers be equal. i bet i know the guy who was one of the designers of that car... or atleast knows just about all the specs on it... ill get that info a week from saturday for you guys.

and 23K miles for 14K you cant beat that!!!!

a v6 rousch stang could not beat a gt, v6's are slow, the only differences is the rims as far as i know, my friends sister has one and that seems to be the only difference, i would definitely not get the mustang unless it's a gt because v6 mustangs are the biggest waste of time in my opinion, as far as the gst, i wouldn't recommend one of those either, my best friend had one and he blew the motor and tranny several times, the only way it stopped blowing up was when he put je pistons, crower rods, blue printed and balanced the engine, and changed out the crank to a titanium one. the cranks are extremely weak in gst's and as soon as you try to start boosting more psi on the stock engine it blows.

What I remember is that roush stage 1 is mainly an exterior package, and I think stage 2 gets more to performance. Not 100% on it though.

yes, a regular V6 mustang is by far one of the worst wastes of money there is, but rousch does alot of stuff that you cant see with your eyes... ill find out the specs in a week.

but the mitsubishi would be my choice...they IMO look better than stangs...and they are faster

A mitsu or a ford? that like asking if you want to die or just have your balls removed. Honestly, try to find a 95+ 240SX. If you do that, ten to one you'll end up SR-20ying it and having an easy 13 second car for under 10 grand. God I hate mitsu.

well, if thats the case, he could get a 95+ gst and throw in a Evo V motor, and get very reasonable results as well.

I meant gsx or he could go cheaper and get a tsi awd and do the same which would be even cheaper than the gsx or a gst.

you guys are rediculus! hes not buying it to do stuff to it, hes buying it for a daily driver so he can beef the celica and not worry about the downtime. his new car wont be getting a motor swap, it sounds like he could care less about making it a 13 second car... he doesnt care what you guys WANT, hes just interested in some opinions, some experiences, and any advice on the 2 cars hes looking at.

and fallenhero, y do you hate mitsu, which DSM/mitsu have you driven that you didnt like? y didnt you like them? give some friggen answers that actually mean something something and you can learn from once and a while people! i for one am sick of all this ohh mitsus suck, ford sucks and are unreliable, nissan ownz... if you are going to make a statement like that atleast give some thought out response as to why you feel that way...

hmm..i would go with mustang between the two just because no one could every say you were a "rice burner" on the strip....those people are dumb anyway, the ones that are totally against any import...o well...I like eclipes though too...either one would be a good choice...overall:stang...

K2, my last input was in reference to fallen's "I hate mitsu" comment. i was in no way telling the guy to do any of this stuff or giving him insights to furthermore purchase an eclipse. I was just trying to make a point.

I would choose the mitsu, but that's cause i had a ford before and it sucked balls! and mustangs are all show and no go when it comes to a v6

s'ok, youve owned a mitsu/DSM so atleast you have experience with it...

also neipas, what went wrong with your ford, and which kind was it?

we own a 92 eclipse GS and a mustang GT LE vert. both are great cars and i really would recommend either as a daily driver, but with a daily driver and taking into consideration weather conditions the eclipse would be the more practical choice. on that note the only problem with the stang weve ever had besides regular wear and tear is a really bad squeaking tie rod. and the eclipse has only had basic wear and tear as well.

go for the eclipse. they look good, gst's are pretty fast, and it will be more practical in rain and bad weather

v6 mustangs are slow and not worth having, downgrading to a smaller engine in a car designed for a v8 is pointless. despite what the sticker on the car says, they get worse gas milage because of having less power, the driver has to push the car harder to get good acceloration(for just city driving)

the eclipse is capable of good gas milage too, when cruising around most turbo cars get good mpg

if i had to pick one of the two, i would go with the eclipse. but if i were picking a daily driver because my other car was gonna be in the shop a lot, i would just get a really cheap slow car. that way i could spend all the money that i would save on that car for mods on my other one.
