Topic says it all. I drive around and my fans do not kick in, my temp. gauge says the car is runnin at normal temp yet steam starts shooting out from under the hood. I checked the relays and they seem ok to me. I checked the water temp sensor on the bottom of the radiotor and it had a little rust buildup on it. but I easily got it off with some warm water and a little CLR. I think it might be that the thermostat stuck in open but not really looking forward to taking off my alternator juss to see if it is the thermostat. so any suggestions. ooh yea and even when I turn the car on and turn on the heater/ac neither of the fans kick in. confused.gif

That's your thermostat. You know that, why did you post? Those things aren't to hard to replace and the alternater comes off really easy. Sorry, but no ideas of short cuts here man, your going to have to just buy a thermostat and change it out.
