anyone know where i can get this swap cheap?? i have a auto and i want a manual. anyone can help me with this?? what is the cheapest i cant get?? and how long will it take a shop to do?? and does anyone in atlanta or georgia know the best place. hell if it is cheap enough i will drive to NC,SC,FL,AL. thanks

Well the cheapest way is always going to be do it yourself. The second alternative is to sell your car and find a stick.

sorry to say, but thats the short of it. Doing it yourself will cost you around $750 i think the number was. I think 1bwilson got his done for $1500. I got mine done for a bit over $2000. Its not a cheap thing to do. Most say just ditch you celi and get a new one with stick. But if you love your car, you specific car, then the trans swap is the only way. And the only way is going to cost you money no matter how you look at it.

hahah cheap and trans swap dont go together.

i did it my self and with a new clutch and pressure plate and TWM short shifter it came to 1200. all new lubes and what not.

750 is just for parts, then u need a new clutch, oils and what not. cheap out on parts and you will get a crap trans that will fall apart on you.

Mine was around $600. I got all the parts myself did the work myself, the most expensive part was the tranny $200 and the clutch was $130, then all the parts for the shifter, pedal and such was $100, then misc parts were about $150.
