How do you jack your car up with your body kit on? And where do you guys jack it up at?

hmmm well i i got the invader skirts and i have no problem jacking my car up in the front. however the backs another story since the kit actually "tucks" underneath that metal part youre suppose to jack the car up on. so what i did was make a little square-like cut on the skirts so id have a place to jack it up for the back. simple...

Anyone else have any trouble jacking their car up? Also my car is lowered 1.5", and I normally jack my car up right behind the wheel well, where the 2 notches are in the rail. The thing I'm most conserned about is the jack hitting the sides.

i have a vader front and sides with 2" or more drop
i jack the whole front end up via the front cross bar (under the motor) and the sides using the stock locations |

My skirts come very close to the jack rail thing so I just put the jack a little further under the car. I've never had a problem. And you can always jack it up from the crossmember underneath the motor. That's part of why it's there.

yeah i dropped my car 1.5 inches and i have to use two jacks to lift my damn car....one in the fron and then use one on the side.

man with a 1.5 inch drop my jack bairly fits under the front bumper. I have start pumping the handel with very little strokes.

what i do is drive the car ontop of a couple sheets of ply wood.. just so the wheel is ontop of the wood. Then put the jacks in the regular position and fire away.
remove the plywood to do what you need to do.. and put them back when you lower your car again.. safe, fast, and easily.. this way you dont have to worry about cracking your fiberglass kits. |

Then put the jacks in the regular position and fire away. remove the plywood to do what you need to do.. and put them back when you lower your car again.. safe, fast, and easily.. this way you dont have to worry about cracking your fiberglass kits. yup, for those of us ( me included) who have to use the sissor jack to lift the front of the car a bit to get a jack under there, heres a good tip, go to your local home depot or lowes or walmart or whatever, buy a couple "patio blocks" theyre usually like 12x18x2 or somthing like that, like 3$ apeice, put them in front of your front wheels, drive up onto them, and whalla, no need for the sissor jack ![]() -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
