i was driving today and heard a new noise - it sounds like gas being let off a pintball gun like SSSSShhhhhh Shhhhhhhhhh SSSSSSHhhhhhhhhhhhhhh (best way i could desribe it) and it is coming from the passenger front it sounds like i figured it would be a strut of maybe a bearing/bushing of somesort you guys have any ideas? thanks

ohh and i have the car up in the air and on the passenger dirve axle there is a rubber thing that looks like an engine mount just sitting in the middle of the axle(obviously intentionally put there not just something wrapped around it) whats that for?? thanks

Sounds like on your axle the boot is off and theres no air in struts.

Could be but you'd hear more of a grinding and even feel it in the wheel.

Try to find out where that piece thats just loungin on your axle goes and you might find a clue to whats goin on.

If srut is blown you should hear cluncking noise every time you hit a bump. Performancewise car would be handling like a boat in turns and dive when you hit brakes.

yeah I think 3 of my 4 struts are blown. Very bad handling, cupping of tire tread, and noise on a bump. Anyway, if its like this, time to get new ones
