allright here's the deal. i have just recently thrown a ct26 twin entry turbo in my 5sfe. there wasn't any piping hooked up cuz i was gonna drive it to this guys house for him to make me one. so when i finally got done fixing all of the leaks i let the car run for like 10 mins to break the turbo in a bit. so all is going well the turbo isn;t leaking any oil at this point when i gave her a lil gas from the butterfly valve still no oil so i'm like awesome man i did it. so i get in and start to drive and the turbo is all spoolin makin it's sexy noise. so then i start seeing some smoke and i'm like ohh **** wastegate.. i didn't open it since there isn't a pipe going from the turbo to the intake manifold so i pull over and there is oil everywhere under my engine. so i start it up again to try to find where the leak is comming from and giver her a lil gas and i notice oil is spuing out from the turbo shooting upward towards the hood. so my guess i basically just blew the turbo and gonna need a rebuild???

thanks guys

rjb, did you get oil into the turbo before you started the engine? its VERY important that you do that, you can pretty much cook the seals by the time the oil actually gets to the turbo on startup that first time. if you have oil coming out the turbo outlet, i'd have to think seals. wink.gif
